Lovely position on Marine parade. Quite majestic looking from the outside. But what a pity this hotel has been invaded by artex, woodchip wallpaper and 70s decor. Everything was clean but stuck in the past. We sat in the guest lounge for a drink and so did two other couples, but well meaning staff that couldn't pronounce the drinks she... More

We stayed in room 203, the room was spacious. The bed was lop sided, we put that down to the floors being un even. There was no hair dryer, or fan in the room, only 1 small window opened. The view of the sea, was beautiful, however, this weekend was extremely hot and no ventilation. The shower was not working,... More

Visited the hotel recently with my grandchildren,, not the cheapest hotel around, staff were polite and welcoming, but the hotel itself needs a lot of TLC, old and loved it acceptable lots of character but smell of damp near the toilets was very obvious, the room itself was very dated and run down, big cracks in the ceilings dirty nets... Breakfast is excellent with a with choice and you can have as much as you want. WIFI is available at no extra cost. I have been twice and... More

We have just spent a long weekend here. Large, quiet room with seaviews, warm and very comfortable bed. We slept very well. Lovely decor throughout hotel. Very polite staff and superb breakfast. We will stay again and thoroughly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights from friday 3rd to sunday 5th. Plus points The hotel itself is sittuated in a prime location. Directly opposite the beach, adjacent to the amusements & just a short walk in each direction from just about everything you can want from your holiday. The attention you get from the staff, including management... More

We have just returned from spending Christmas here. The hotel is in a brilliant position on the sea-front; ideal for the town (steady walk); beach/promenade across the road; amusements, theatre, circus etc. all within short walking distance. The food at the hotel is brilliant; far more than you can eat; in fact the hotel should have a warning that "it... More

We stayed 3 nights with our 2 year old son. The hotel is very dated and so was our room. The bathroom was quite modern and clean though. Breakfast was quite nice but not as nice as the BBs we have stayed in, It was so reasonably priced that you can't really complain though. We did find a half eaten... More
