Just returned today from my 4th visit this year . Which is a testament to how good this place is in itself . Bob and Barbara are perfect hosts . Don't just take my word for it go check for yourselves . Cheers both and see you in March .

Well I don't know where to begin. I was greeted by Barbara who is the most loveliest lady you could ever wish to meet. I felt at home already and I hadn't even entered the hotel. After a lovely chat I went to the room which was immaculately presented. And of a perfect size. The hotel is situated in a... More

Hi Thanks for reviewing Swiss Cottage here on tripadvisor. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and welcome the comments. We try hard to make the place as comfortable as possible as we are away from the centre, thankfully it is quieter here than right in the middle. You are right though is just a walk away and is good... More

Extremely enjoyable stay. Breakfast was exellant, Different fresh fruit everyday, full English proportionally correct.Room spotless. Ours was a walking hiloday , so to have miles of beach just across the road was a bonus, and car parking backed onto large fields. Town centre and amusements within walking distance,

Hello, Thank you for giving such a nice review. Glad you found us good and you enjoyed your stay here. Yes the dunes and beaches go for miles in fact can walk around the coats anticlockwise for many miles, clockwise the harbour mouth gets in the way :-) We always offer previous gusts a discount on their next booking in... The room and establishment were clean and fresh and the atmosphere: warm, friendly and welcoming. The wifi worked well, never losing the signal and the water in the shower was always hot. Bob and (especially) Barbara are very clued up on surrounding attractions and places of interest and we're always spot-on with their suggestions. A pleasant and good experience all... More

We have just come back from a three night break, we had a wonderful stay at the swiss cottage. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome, even our little dog Bella. Barbara did everything to make us feel at home. We cannot wait until we have some more time to go back for another stay.

So glad you had a good time and Barbara loved the dog though warned Bob it is shy. We try to make the place as laid back as possible to ensure a good relaxed stay. We do hope you are able to come back and visit us again. Kind regards Bob and Barbara More

4 of us and a dog spent 2 nights there. Barbara was very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. We stayed in room 9 on the first floor. The room is very spacious, the bathroom a little small but there is a washbasin in the room to maximise available space. Our friends and their... More

The Twin room 9 is huge and a mirror image of room 8 but unfortunatley both not dog friendly. The Seaview King room though is made for dogs though smaller then 9 has an area beside the ensuite. Trouble is that was booked on the days of your stay. The top rooms are ideal for dogs too but as you... More

Beautiful bed and breakfast with wonderful owners. Barbara greeted us warmly even though we were incredibly late. When we were shown our room (number 8) we couldn't believe our eyes. The room was huge and the bed was massive. The breakfast was wonderful and beautifully cooked. Bob and Barbara you are the hosts with the most! Nothing was too much... More

Barbara is the perfect host friendly and welcoming, giving out keys, offering hairdryer and WiFi. The whole place was spotless, the bed was comfortable and the seaview spectacular. Breakfast was lovely, our eggs (scrambled and poached) were perfectly cooked, orange juice and coffee fresh and delicious. So nice to be child free, no noisy background music and no list of... More

Barbara made me feel really welcome, I felt relaxed and spoilt. Nice, fresh, clean room with sea view. Bed large and comfy, slept really well. Breakfast (cooked by Bob i believe) plentiful, well cooked and piping hot. Particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit salads, a different one each morning. Location quiet, everything I could have wanted and more. Definitely a good... More
