After incurring the wrath of my office travel team, I was booked into the Halifax travelodge. It was utterly dreadful. The check in staff were rude and unhelpful, my first room was filthy, and the second was better, but still tiny. The room was very bare, in travelodge style, and had exposed brick - presumably decorative - that made the... more

Having stayed at this Travelodge many times in the past few years we found this visit dissappointing. The staff are friendly and helpful if alittle thin on the ground. We had a dismal room on the fifth floor (room 509) which has a dismal view of a generator at the back of the mill. The only redeeming factor was there... more

Got a saver deal of £35 for the room. Looks great from outside. Large car park- costs before 6pm or after 9am, but only £2.50 for up to 4 hours and reasonably secure. Parking on the road outside would have been cheaper (meters with 30p per hour up to 6pm) but didn't see this till after we paid at the... more

After reading some of the bad reviews I must say I was a little nervous about booking here, especially with an 18 month old toddler! I needn't have worried. We had room 402 which was spacious and very clean. The bedding was crisp and white and the towels clean and fresh. Extra bedding was supplied which was also really clean.... more

Stayed here November 07, the discount rate for the Sunday we stayed was £15, the room was clean & fresh and the bed was comfortable. The room had tea/coffee making facilities, a tv and shower room. All in all a fantastic deal. more

We have stayed at this travelodge a number of times and always had a pleasant stay, but our stay this November was very dissapointing. The bathroom was not clean - it smelt very strongly - possibly urine but more likely that sweet, sickly smell you get when floor is cleaned with a dirty cloth. You could see the dirt in... more

Various stays 2005 and 2006. I’ve stayed in many different Travelodges and find most of them good value for money. They are clean, neat, tidy and offer a basic room for the price. Rooms are basic and spacious. No restaurant here and food has to be ordered via a takeaway service or purchased from the supermarket about half a mile... more

This TL promises much from the outside, housed in an architecturally beautiful converted mill. However, there the positives end. I reckon the place has about 35 rooms on 5 floors. I also reckon I was the only guest as I was in Room 101- could have been a warning sign!. The room itself was absolutely filthy - cobwebs on ceiling,... more

online booking was easy enough, much better than the automated booking line that has difficulty understanding english. Had room 501, which smelt of smoke. Room was adequate, but you get nothing for your money. Travelodge claim they don't waste money on things you don't need. How about having things people do need Shower gel, more staff, heaters that work. The... more

We come from Halifax, but now live in the South, and booked in here for a Saturday night, whilst visiting friends. The reception was okay, when we got to the room, we found directly outside our window was a generator, that went down well. The bedclothes were not dirty, but I did find someone elses hair on the mattress!! The... more
