Nice friendly hotel, helpful staff, clean hotel, room a bit dated We stayed for two nights. Excellent value for money paid £32 per night for two people. A little way out from centre of Halifax but fine if you have transport. Would use again.

Apparently The Rock hotel has changed owners and will not honour wedding packages 2012 that included a free anniversary meal. This will mean many unhappy newly wed couples. “Excellent Lunch, must return for Dinner.....”

Popped into The Rock Hotel in Hollywell for lunch today and would not hesitate to return, or to recommend to others. We received a warm welcome from the staff and the food was excellent, Wendy was vert attentive and polite and we look forward to returning again very soon.
