This historic house is in a delightful setting, with country views and colourful garden. Yet it is only a couple of miles and an easy drive to/from Halifax. There are country walks from the house with a couple of good pub restaurants within walking distance. The house is furnished in keeping with its age and breakfast is taken at a... More

When we booked we informed Geoff, the owner, that we were hoping to see some of the Tour de France sites and he was very helpful. Nearer the time we were due to go Pat contacted us with some more advice of timings and the best places to visit. When we arrived we were greeted on the drive and shown... More

I stayed at Field House overnight for a work trip. The grounds of the property are picturesque and there is a lot of local history at your footsteps. Jeff and Pat were very attentive and made me a wonderful breakfast on the morning of my departure. Their dog, Bronte, was adorable! I think this would be ideal for a couples/family... More

Nice friendly welcome Pat arranged an evening meal at short notice. It's the cleanest b&b I have stayed at for a long time. A lovely country house with fantastic views of the surrounding country side. A comfortable clean room. Breakfast was very good. Geoff and Pat were the perfect hosts

Jeff and Pat are a real delight and their house is wonderfully historic in a beautiful location. We really appreciated their warm hospitality and the opportunity to share our bottle of wine with them and the other very nice guests. A lovely friendly atmosphere.

I arrived at Field House B&B slightly later than planned due to very bad weather on my drive up, and was welcomed warmly. I stayed only one night as I was on my way further north, but would happily contemplate a longer stay here. I stayed in Martha's Room which was spacious and well furnished and looked out over the... Home from home.Beautiful, stunning guest house surrounded by such pretty gardens and rolling hills and trees and blue skies. The only noise was the friendly conversation around the dining table at breakfast and what a breakfast!reason for my trip from Dorset was to surprise my daughter, who is due to have her first baby.My son-in-law brought her to Field House and not only... Stayed here last week and will definitely be back next time I'm in the area! Both Geoff and Pat were very welcoming and the room was very comfortable. I was offered 2 nearby pubs for a meal and walked across the fields to Shibden Mill Inn which was excellent. A great breakfast in the morning set me up for the... More

Our two night stay at Field House earlier this month was so enjoyable, we can't wait to go back. When we arrived Geoff was working in the garden despite the pouring rain, Pat welcomed us into the guest parlour for tea and a chat and Bronte their adorable Blue Roan cocker spaniel came in to say hello, too. The house... More
