Superb setting for a quiet break and an easy day out in London. Feels odd in a good way being in London City centre and then in the hot tub 40 mins (by train) later! Some of the lodges looked a little exposed in terms of privacy around the hot tubs, we stayed in lodge 34 which was generally comfortable,... More

This is the second year we have stayed in the VIP 2 bedroom Lodge at Roydon Marina over Xmas. The VIP bit gets you a hot tub and I think a bit more space. You can park your car in a dedicated space right next to your lodge. We stayed in Lodge 7 this year (last year we were in... More

My wife and i stayed in Lodge 5 Mon - Fri, what an absolute gem of a place, we asked beforehand if we could get in to the lodge early on the first day as we would be travelling a long way, they were absolutely fantastic, and helped us enormously, many many thanks to you. The lodge was exceptionally clean... More

A fantastic place to stay if you're planning a sight seeing trip to London. One minute you're sitting in a hot tub by a lovely lodge amongst trees, green grass and riverside walks.....then, after a short walk to Roydon station and a 30 minute train ride, you arrive at Liverpool Street station, not far from The Gherkin and St Paul's... After reading the reviews on here, I was a little apprehensive to say the least. We arrived 2 hours before check in time and were given our keys no problem. My expectations were low, so I was pleasantly surprised by the lodge. It was clean, tidy and well equipped. A little TLC was need in certain part’s – i.e. a... More

My new husband sure scored himself some brownie points when he found us our own private lodge in beautiful surroundings with it's very own Hot tub for a romantic long weekend after our wedding earlier this month.. I had read a few reviews and was a little concerned when we first arrived and drove down the road next to the... More

Stayed here in the last week of July and was great. A nice quiet spot. We stayed in the VIP lodge 4 and must say I had no problems. The previous bad review issues had been sorted out. There were things to do for young children but all these were a short drive away, and not on the park. Disappointed... More

Well where do I start! After booking this as a Summer break for myself, hubby and two sons I perused Trip Advisor to find nothing but mostly scathing reviews. So as we set off on our short journey I was actually feeling physically sick as to what we would find on our arrival. I phoned a few days earlier to... More

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Roydon Marina Village with my husband and 3 year old son. Having been to 3 similar type lodges in various locations in the south of England I can honestly say this was the worst! We were allocated VIP Lodge 3 (nothing VIP about it!) which was located next to the bin store... More

So after staying at roydon marina lodge 5 in 2013 last year we decided that specific lodge was a pretty good price & private enough to go back again this year. What a disappointment it was when we booked the same lodge for a week. So we started off on the Saturday of arrival with an ants nest under our... More
