Very nice site and ideal location for exploring area around Corfe. Nice level pitch for my Campervan and after the weekend very quiet & peaceful. Don't be put off by the proximity to the train line, it's brilliant to watch the old trains go past and mainly only between 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. Toilets and Showers reasonably clean but... More

My young son and I have stayed here twice now and had a fab time both times, there are 3 fields, one right next to the Swanage Railway (my son loves trains so it's ideal!) another set back from the tracks and another (no dogs in this one I think) to the other side and furthest away from the railway.... Returned today from another great stay at Woody Hyde, have been here many times since the current owner took over 16 yrs ago now, the site has greatly improved in that time with the addition of a lovely new shower block. The shop is well stocked and also sells wine and beer which is very handy. Although it was a... More

We really loved this site. Bundles of nice flat space for pitching our tent and lots of stunning countryside to explore around us. The pitches themselves were great, with lots of space around them, which I'm sure would be different in school holidays. That said, we were on a non-electric pitch, so we had our pick of the space. We... More

(Caveat: not a regular camper!) This is a lovely site, with loads of room between tents when we stayed (a sunny Saturday night in June 2014). The shower block (50p per shower: ideal temperature water) seemed fine. Seemed largely full of families and youngish couples. Everyone seemed to obey the 11pm 'quiet' rule. Only downside was the rather miserable guy... More

Lets start by what this isn't - its not a 5 star hotel or an amusement park. Now that's out of the way what is it - its a campsite. If you want a scenic location for camping then the steam railway which runs alongside the side takes you back to bygone days. There are 3 fields - 1 of... More

We have just cone back from a weekend at this camp site. We booked in at the shop (which seems to open whenever it wants) and the man behind the counter didn't even acknowledge we were there....we had to disturb him looking on his IPad and when he eventually engaged, he was miserable and did nothing to welcome us or... Stayed for two nights and throughly enjoyed it. Great campsite, clean facilities and the kids loved the steam trains going past every hour or so. Facilities were clean and modern, good choice of items (including local ales) in the shop. Staff were friendly and polite. Will definitely be returning for another weekend.
