There was plenty of space for 22 of us in a group and I liked that we didn't need to pay in advance. The showers cost 50p but are excellent, plentiful, and in a really warm and new shower block. Thumbs up! A 25 minute walk to the pub at Corfe Castle.

We decided to stop here based on website reviews. It was a last minute dash to Dorset based on the wonderful weather during week 2 of the school Easter holidays. We arrived just in time to pay in advance for a 2 night stay before the shop shut and were welcomed, especially as the three 4 years olds and two... More

Stayed here with a friend and two children, the kids wanted to have their own tents but as we were charged per person rather than per tent this was no problem. We were here over Easter for 3 nights and loved it. You can walk to the train station (about a mile) and then use the steam train to Swanage... More

Great quiet location with well defined shower block and small shop. Ideal for exploring the Jurassic coasts. Taxi fares were good at only £10 for four people to go to Swanage, probably les per person than a bus! Swanage and Purbeck taxi was the most friendly and he highly recommended. They are on 07969 927424, we did a three hour... More

We stay here alot, maybe four times this year, we stay in our campervan utilising the electric hook up and in a few different tents from small two man to large eight man tents. We take our son who loves the Purbecks as much as us and always makes friends with other kids on site, there are no dedicated kids... More

We have just left after a week on this site. We arrived Monday morning and were the only ones on 2nd field and pretty much stayed as such for most of the week. There was a couple of D of E backpacking groups arrived for one night but this wasn't a problem. There was a school turned up on field... More

Having read most of the reviews, I think a few things need to be contested. This is one of the most open and unregulated sites in the area, with fabulous views and on the whole, extremely family friendly; even when the Duke of Edinburgh students are in doing their gold awards - they are always well supervised and delightfully well... We stayed here for 4 nights in the middle of August and really enjoyed it. It was our first camping experience in the UK and were impressed with the standard. The shower block was generally clean and well looked after, the shop was handy and reasonably priced, and the fellow campers were very friendly. It's also very handy for all... More

We decided to stay here for 3 nights at the end of august, to be honest it was a last minute thing, I did read the reviews and I do pretty much agree with most of them. Firstly the man in the shop.. Very strange, hardly talks, very slow especially as the shop is only open 9-10am or 5-6pm, I... More
