We stayed at this hotel as part of Leicestershire's Stay, play, explore promotion. As promised we were upgraded to an executive room. The room was clean and comfortable. I didn't have much joy with the pillows as they all seemed either to hard or too thin, but eventually found a combination I was happy with. The only negative to our... More

Look fantastic and arrived when very busy. Checked in got to room and tried to put our 1 year old to bed for a nap at 4 pm but we all decided to rest. 10 minutes later I heard a key card go into our door and a guest and her family let's themselves in! I said hello and she... More

We stayed here as part of Visit Leicester Stay, Play and Explore package. The hotel was ideally located for visiting attractions and, although near busy roads, we didn't hear any traffic noise. The executive family room we stayed in was spacious, clean and comfy and, although we booked as a family of four, as well as two double beds, there... More

Loved the hotel, check in quick, great room which was nice & clean with everything you need. Nice spa area with pool, jacuzzi, steam room & sauna. What let the hotel down was the awful service at dinner. It started out well, seated quickly, drinks order taken & received & food order taken. Starters then took half an hour to... More

Dear louise19leicester I am very disappointed to hear of your experience. This is not our usual standards and I will be discussing this further with our Restaurant Manager. It is a shame to see that you would not return as all other elements were to your satisfaction including the food. I do hope that you will change your mind and... More

Booked on the morning of Saturday 16th August for 1 night stay that same evening. My Wife and I booked with the 'Metro' (Newspaper) Offer and though upgraded to the Premier room package which included D B&B and what a superb offer it was. The Room 470 was on the second floor overlooking the countryside. The room was so spacious... More

This hotel is border line stunning, in my opinion. It is pretty new, but I get the impression it was built for moneybags businessmen, however they soon realised that they weren't getting enough clients and so "opened up" to a more family orient - such as the Stay,Play,Explore scheme which was exactly the reason behind our visit. It's full of... More

Stayed on 15 August, enjoyed the pool spa etc, very relaxing. Although it was very busy in the restaurant the standard of food did not drop and was excellent. All the staff were very helpful and polite Look forward to staying again.

Check in was easy, the room was clean and modern and the hotel catered well for young children. The leisure facilities was well maintained although the pool could be a little larger and have a bigger shallow end for kids. During busy periods we had to wait for items to be replenished during breakfast. on the whole we enjoyed our... More

Superb hotel! Visiting on a stay, play and explore 3 night break. Room size is huge, we've come as a family of 5 and its ideal. Most hotels wont even cater for over 4 persons. Rooms are quiet. Breakfast is lovely, lots of choice, and its constantly refreshed. Sitting to eat breakfast in the conservatory is a delight. Same people... More

We really didn't know what to expect given some if the reviews posted here over recent months. The hotel gave us a good base for visiting Twinlakes,Tropical Bird Land and GC Railway Teddy Bear Picnic Train Ride all within a an hour drive of the hotel. Breakfast was buffet style, wekl stocked, hot and regularly replenished. There is a bit if... More
