Stayed Overnight at this hotel to visit family in nearby Leicester. The hotel is nicely situated just off the Motorway and is massive! There is a definite concentration on conferences and it seems that this is their main bread and butter. This is reflected in the standard of the food which is suited to mass feeding of conference delegates rather... more

Visited the Hinckley Island Hotel as part of the "Stay Play Explore" deal and at £99 including admission to three local attractions is a real bargain! The executive room was large, clean, very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, the corridors were clean and the hotel, despite it's size was quiet around the rooms, although it was bustling around the public... more

This hotel is amazingly well laid out. The accommodation with its wings leading from a central hub meant that no one appeared to be far from the action. The hub made a great rendezvous point for delegates. The restaurant did not appear to be large enough for everyone but was surprisingly spacious and people were served swiftly and without fuss.... more

We stayed overnight here with our 4 children whilst visiting the area and found the hotel to be in good order. The reservation staff on the phone when we booked couldn't have been more helpful, finding us interconnecting rooms and went to great lengths to double check they had booked the correct room numbers. Check in was efficient and as mentioned... more

We couldn't get into the Daventry Barcelo so stayed here instead. Obviously had a refurb. The room was immaculate the bathroom sparkling clean. Lovely white linen and towels. The restaurant was a different tale! Sunday morning we were horrified to find the bars and reception are looking as if there had been some sort of disaster locally. 'Breakfast' had been... more

Stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night for a conference and have to say that the conference facilities were excellent. Hotel overall was also pretty good and it seemed they had perhaps read some of the poorer TripAdvisor reviews and raised their game a bit. However, there were still some bad points. Not least room I tolerated on the... more

This hotels facilities for conferences are great: big meeting rooms, a nice bar to have a drink after work, good coffee and close to the highway. My renovated room was nice and clean, the bathroom too. Because of the bad reviews I did a double hygiene-check and the only dirt I could find was dust in the cupboard, no mould... more

The rooms are very good, spacious, modern, comfortable, huge beds. Breakfast is good, evninig meals also. Whne there is a conferecne the hotel isterribly incompetent at checking people in and similarly if the restaturant opens and a lot of people want dinner erarly on it can't cope adequately with the queue. The public rooms are good. The bar is expensive and... more

My other half and I were attending a friend’s birthday party and decided to have an overnight stay at the Barcelo Island Hotel, Hinckley. The reception area is very bright and airy, the receptionist was efficient and friendly at check in and we were soon on our way to our room. The room was a let down after the lovely... more
