Finally a hotel that is genuinely family friendly. Traveling back to Yorkshire from North Scotland, we stopped at the Kirklands in order to break our journey and treat our eldest on his 7th birthday. A large group of us stayed in the Kirklands Hotel in July, when we attended a friends wedding in the area. We've just returned from a 4 night stay at the Kirklands Hotel and would certainly have no hesitation in suggesting it as a good place to stay in the area. The hotel has only recently re-opened following refurbishment and is bright and fresh throughout. The management and staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the accommodation was above our expectations.... more
