Stayed at the Windlestrae for two nights from the 5th August and had a very mixed time here. We were greeted by Chelsea at reception who was wonderful, very cheery and welcoming and let us know where everything was in the hotel. Ten minutes after arrival the hotel fire alarm went off, and everyone was evacuated - including people who... More

An old hotel, a bit shabby. Comfortable tho, and the food was alright. No hot water on our second day. The leisure part of hotel had pool etc, unfortunately it was freezing! Jacuzzi was nice and warm tho. In all, not the best I've stayed in but ok for a couple of nights.

The check in at the hotel was as usual very good with someone there to help with the luggage. As we had just come from a very wet round of golf we were pleased to be shown where the drying room was in case we had anything to dry of. Nice big clean modern room overlooking the green. After changing... More

Awful stay- defiantly not worthy of the three stars, broken toilets, hideous smelling and rips in bedding. Only redeeming quality was the breakfast. This hotel would be perfect if it was rated either 1-0r-0 stars out of five, and the cost of the rooms far outweighs the actual quality. Within the hotel the inclusive pool and leisure areas are defiantly... More

I stayed here recently for 4 nights with 3 of my grown up children. We went to the Commonwealth Games and did a bit of exploring. The hotel was well situated for this. We ate in both the restaurant here and over at the Green Hotel. All food was great and the Eton Mess in Jock's Bar was the best... More

Myself and a friend stayed here last week for a spa break - this included Dinner, Bed and breakfast, use of the spa facilities and a 30 minutes treatment each (this could be a neck, back and shoulder massage, facial or mini pedicure/ manicure). We didn't book this through the hotel so I dont know what they would charge but... More

We had a very large, nice and clean room, with a small seating area and a huge window looking out on the green. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, but there wasn't a bedside light on one side of the bed. There was an old feel to the hotel, with a sense of personality, which we liked. However, on... My friend and I stayed here as a spa deal which included lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast and a 75 mins treatment. We also used the leisure facilities in the hotel. The welcome was cheery and we enjoyed all the meals. The food was of a good standard and a lot of interesting choices on the menu. We spent a... More

Stayed here last night as we were playing at The Bruce today, staff very helpful and friendly, we had to ask for a change of room as the first one stank of dampness,no problem, ate in Monty's, be warned, don't be in a hurry, although plenty of serving staff food took ages to arrive, we waited 40 minutes for the... From the outside this hotel does not look up to much. But do not judge a book by it's cover. The rooms are beautiful. We were situated at the back of the hotel and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Both nights we ate in Montys. The staff were very pleasant however the basil pesto pasta was swimming in oil. So... More
