We recently stayed for two nights whilst completing the local Sportive Kinross bike ride. From the lovely warm welcome, to the wonderful room and the amazing breakfast, Dalqueich is amazing. I can honestly say that it was the most relaxing of places to stay where your every need was looked after by Helen and Bob. Helen was even good enough... More

Hi, Thank you for the kind comments. We're always happy to run guests into Kinross - after a day's touring, cycling or walking, it's quite understandable that the thought of more exercise going into Kinross to eat does not always appeal! In chatting to others, looks like the Sportive cycling event was well run and very popular. Kinross Cycling Club... More

Helen and Bob went out of their way to make everything about our stay incredibly special. Their attention to detail is better than I have ever known. We came down to breakfast to a peat fire, candles and a delicious spread of homemade jams and breads, and fresh fruits and yoghurts. A beautiful house in a very central location, with... More

Hi Julie M, Good to hear you enjoyed your stay, even though the weather wasn't the best (open fires and central heating on in May- whatever happened to Global Warming?) We would love to see you both again and next time maybe the weather will be kind enough so we can organise that picnic down by our river ! Kind... More

Not far off the M90 (although you would never know it) and tucked away down a quiet road, Dalqueich is quite possibly the loveliest B&B experience I've had. I booked here on the strength of the reviews but also because the location was perfect as I was at a nearby gundog training weekend. Although Bob and Helen don't usually accept... More

Liz, Thank you for the review which means a lot to us. We are lucky to be able to share our home, and our love of the area where we live, with lovely people like you. You made it very easy for us, like entertaining a good friend. Kinross is an excellent touring base (in fact, the guests who stayed... More

We were persuaded to stay here by all the great reviews on trip advisor so it's only fair that I share what we found. Helen & Bob are natural hosts, they had thought of absolutely everything. The room was lovely, really tastefully decorated and with an ever-refilling fruit basket, chocolate bars and every conceivable type of tea. There was even... More

Thank you so much for the generous comments. We couldn't ask for nicer guests, you made it very easy for us and we really enjoyed discussing new menu choices with you and your comments on the smoked haddock rarebit give us confidence to include it as a regular on our menu. "Haste ye back", we never had the chance to... More

Hands down the best place we stayed during 3 weeks in northern Scotland. The Location was charming and the hostess even more so. Our room in the old part of the farmhouse very comfortable, but the very best was breakfast! We were the only ones staying there at the time; came down to find the fire burning, James Galway playing... More

Dalquiech farmhouse is the best kept secret in Scotland and the selfish part of me wants to keep it that way. This is without doubt the best B & B we have ever stayed in and believe me we've tried a few. The rooms are clean and tidy and the beds are so comfortable that you could stay in bed... More

Christoph, Thanks for your kind comments. As I'm retiring we hope to make more of our small B&B business, but want to keep it as friendly and personal as we can. We are looking forward to seeing you in May- the Kinross half marathon is a really scenic one as it goes all round Loch Leven. I ran it myself... More

This is no ordinary B&B. It felt like I was staying with old friends from the moment I arrived. Helen & Bob are a lovely couple and their dog Bertie is very friendly too! They really go all out to make your stay as comfortable as possible and nothing is too much trouble. Great hospitality! The whole house is spotlessly... More

Gillian, So glad that you enjoyed thestay. Others have liked the showers as well - when the house was upgraded we installed a pressurised water system - that means you get a real power shower-not just a miserable trickle! The hens are still laying so I recently posted a picture of Fred, FI-FI and Frou Frou on the site-they are... More

I absolutely loved my stay at this B&B that I have returned to on several occasions. We received a very warm welcome from both the owners, Helen and Rob. Thanks for the kind review, you comments mean a lot, especially as you come from such a beatiful area of England- years since we 've been to almouth, and its a lovely area. As we've only recently registered with tripadvisor it's good to see we're getting comments already. Do hope we'll see you again this summer. Helen & Bob More
