The hotel is an old building on the sea and very central. No parking at hotel but free public parking close by. The room and bathroom was very clean and the daily servicing excellent. However, the hotel seemed to be more geared up to buisness travellers. Every morning we had a knock on the door by housekeeping before 9 am... more

My husband and I spent several nights at this hotel and had a room with a view of the water. Food is excellent in dining room and also in the bar where we ate once. There is no lift. Rooms are small but comfortable. We were told to park half a block away in a free parking area so parking... more

Stayed for one night on business. Was in a single room which was small but it had everything I needed and bathroom was a good size. Hotel does not have a car park but there is a town car park (pay and display) close by. The Queens Hotel is close to the harbour and has good views over the bay.... more

After reading other reviews I was slightly worried. It's true that my bedroom was on the small side, but the en-suite bathroom was big. It was however fine for my one night business trip. My dinner in the restaurant was excellent. I had a starter of scallops with a trio of Scottish puddings, followed by a big plate of battered... more

My wife and I stayed at the Queens Hotel because it seemed to be the best hotel in all of Lerwick and would offer the best opportunity to sample the local flavor. The trip to Lerwick was the culmination of a long term goal to get to the top of the UK which I accomplished with a car and two... more

rather dated hotel. food ok. be warned if you cannot climb steps you may have a problem as it has many floors (five i think )with no elevator. parking is a nightmare. no dedicated parking only a public car park which is very popular considering its near to the town centre. more

Nice place good food, however on four consecutive mornings I was awoken at 5 a.m., when I complain I was told my comments would be passed on to the manager. Spoke with him by chance on the day I was leaving and I mentioned this, he informed me that due to oil rig workers working strange shifts and needing to... more

I stayed for two nights in January. The hotel is in an excellnet position on the waters edge and only afew steps from the town centre and shops. It is clean, comfortable but somewhat dated. Views from the room were fab. However the dining room is dingy and requires updating. The food was poor, very poor. The menu looks great... more

This ancient building right IN the harbour is unique. The views from the sea-side are fabulous, the rooms are spotless and comfortable, the food is very good, the staff are helpful, hard-working and pleasant. You can walk into the town centre in 1 minute flat! On the down side, parking can be a bit awkward, and the decor & lighting... more

We arrived in Lerwick on the ferry from Bergen at 1.30am but the hotel had aranged a taxi and the night porter was waiting for us. We went straight to the room and, on opening the window, realised we were above a small beach, so were lulled to sleep by the waves lapping the shore. We were in the smoking... more
