Stayed one night in the hostel. It's a very well run and well maintained hostel, with friendly staff who go out of their way to help. The kitchen is well equipped and the sitting room very cosy. Couldn't have asked for more

I loved this place. I was in a dorm of 12 beds with no more than 6 of us at a time. there isn't much space for stuff with very small lockers and only one chair next to each set of bunks. It's clean. the showers are good. the kitchen is a great fascility.

I was here for Shetland Wool Week. It was very conveniently situated, as most of the Wool Week activities were in the Community Centre next door. The hostel is comfortable and has a pleasant atmosphere,it even runs to a disabled shower, which was very helpful for me. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed my stay very much.

Easy booking. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely old building. Very clean. Great showers. Bunk bed very comfortable. Easy walking distance to Lerwick town centre, harbour, museum, shops and bus stops/station. Lovely walks nearby. Islesburgh Community Centre next door, has a good cafe with reasonably priced food and drinks. Beautifully kept park opposite, full of wonderful flowerbeds.

We had an en-suite, private room for two which was great. The hostel was very well-equipped and the kitchen, in particular, was one of the best I've used. Lots of tourist information within. Very well-maintained. It was centrally placed in Lerwick and an excellent place to stay.

Helpful staff. Walking distance to centre of Lerwick (it's not big). Next to Islesburgh Communitu Centre - where there is a great café and super concerts. 2 of us had a 2-bunk room with tiny bathroom. Fine for us - but would have been a squash for 4. It was a quiet hostel, until a group of school children arrived.

Lovely clean hostel! Had a brilliant stay with a tour group for Up Helly Aa and the rooms were quiet and warm. Showers were also great. Pleasant visit and recommend this hostel. Location was fantastic. Building was gorgeous too!

The spaces in this hostel are great. Lots of room to hang out in whatever style you wish. The kitchen is fantastic. The staff is amazing- super friendly , super helpful , intelligent! The beds are terrible. The worst of the trip . Over worn with the body dip , nasty springs sticking out, narrow( that's forgivable ). After a... More

Thank you for your review. I can confirm we have replaced all of the old style metal framed beds with brand new pine beds and new mattresses. More
