We spent 3 nights at Avalon House...the least expensive AND the nicest place we stayed during our 2 weeks in Scotland. Jane and Alistair (native Orcadians) are fabulous hosts and the accomodations are very comfortable. It is clear that they constructed the inn with travelers in mind. Stayed for 4 night early April. Great welcome from the hosts and always good with hints and tips. Breakfast was execllent - a good choice and well presented.
