Four of us stayed in apartment #2, which we used as a base to explore the Main Land of Orkney. The apartment is situated 5 minutes walk from St Magus cathederal, the centre of Kirkwall, so all the main attractions and amenities of Kirkwall are conveniently close at hand. Even the Highland Park distillery on the edge of town is... More

We spent a week in Apartment #2 and can't praise the accommodation and our hosts highly enough. John and Hazel McGreggor went out of their way to help us after our credit cards were lost/stolen. The apartment is large, immaculate, and tastefully appointed. Every amenity was provided: Free WiFi, huge fridge, comfy bed, washing machine, bath/shower, lovely welcome basket, wide-screen... More

On our fifth visit to Orkney we were showing friends the delights of the Islands. These units, which I noticed on a previous visit to Kirkwall, are well designed and provided a central location with shopping, restaurants and parking close by. Our unit was Kingston Lodge, the Victorian cottage facing the quiet road. Although it was late spring the air... More

Apartment as good as its description. Very comfortable, well equipped and excellent location. A home from home. Recommend it 100% as a base for an Orkney holiday. Very near good food shops if you want to cook for yourself. Restaurants within easy walking distance

We stayed in Kingston House. Ideally located within easy walking distance of the centre of Kirkwall. The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. The helpful but not intrusive owners kindly provided a lovely welcome hamper containing local produce. Parking though not on site is available a very short distance away in a nearby street. A superb property that... More

What a great place right in the heart of Kirkwall. Located on Victoria Street just behind the cathedral. Beautiful accommodation, modern, clean and incredibly spacious, we stayed in Kingston House which was perfect for a family of 5 but big enough for more. The owners were extremely attentive but not intrusive, the welcome hamper was really kind with lots of... More

John and Hazel could not have done more to look after us for our holiday in Orkney. Quality of accommodation is right up there with the very best, and location in the centre of Kirkwall is ideal (not noisy though). If you get the weather here is an added bonus, but certainly this is now my 'go to' place for... More

in April we stayed in Kingston apartment 2. Great for 2 people and a very welcome hamper with local goodies!! it was so comfortable, we loved it felt like it was home from home. Great location not only for seeing around Kirkwall but for heading out and around the island. central to town and amenities. A quick few minutes out... More

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay here. We were a party consisting of 3 families with small children plus granny and we fitted perfectly into the House and the Lodge. We shared the House garden. It was perfect for the children and had a sunny deck with seating for the adults to supervise from a safe distance. The beds were... More

once you walk through the front door of this very deceptive cottage you are amazed with the room inside. A huge lounge with a wood burning stove with an attached shower room and on the other side a modern kitchen complete with skylights. Upstairs is a large bedroom and a bathroom complete with a spa bath and up another set... More
