Clean room best feature is when you walk in and see the sunshine coming through the two large windows and additional light coming through a side window. Hot or cold breakfast and the home owners only appear briefly in the morning when you have had your breakfast. One I wish is the ability to just have a chat with the... More

My wife and I, and three friends, stayed 6 nights at Two Dundas Crescent, and loved the place. It is so very conveniently located to St Magnus Cathedral, the harbor, and restaurants and shops. The owners are delightful folks, and the breakfasts are made to order and superb. Edgar will keep you in stitches with his tales, and Ruth, well,... More

Arriving after 11pm off the ferry from Shetland, we were greeted warmly and shown quietly upstairs to one of the most beautiful bedrooms I have ever slept in. Large, with high ceilings, wooden panelling and shutters, a big super-comfortable bed and immaculate shower room. In the morning we opened the shutters to find light streaming in through several large windows.... More

One of the best B and B's we have stayed in, and situated in an excellent position near the centre of the town. The room was large, light and airy. What a joy to sleep in a large comfortable bed too. We stayed 5 nights and the towels were changed every other day- such luxury! Our hosts, Ruth and Edgar... More

Cannot complain about our recent stay in any way.Warmly welcomed - even though late at night - comfortable, clean beds, excellent shower, ample storage space. Breakfast was excellent, some of the best bacon I have had in years and eggs fried as they should be. Very central location. The owners were a delightful couple who deserve all the plaudits given... We spent 5 nights here in the last week of April 2015. I recommend this B&B without reservation. Beautiful older house with lovely big warm rooms (warm was important that week!). Mr and Mrs Muir are outstanding hosts with Edgar giving us the benefit of his considerable wisdom about Orkney every morning at breakfast, We settled for some variation of... More

Stayed here over the weekend on a visit to Orkney. It is a lovely old house with many original features but at the same time had modern facilities including a lovely roll top bath as well as a good separate shower. Ruth and Edgar were the perfect hosts and made us feel especially welcome and relaxed. The breakfast on both... More

We arrived off the Aberdeen ferry a few minutes before midnight to be welcomed by a smiling Ruth. A lovely start to our stay in Orkney. 2 Dundas Crescent is an old Manse, ideally situated for exploring Kirkwall....a short walk to St Magnus, the Palaces and the main street. Lovely large high ceilinged rooms, spotless bathroom facilities and a superking... More
