Huge Big rooms. Big bed. Big breakfast. Friendly and helpful hosts to make sure the stay was perfect. Central location and a beautiful house. What more could you need? Nothing. Highly recommended for a stay in orkney.

Stayed here over the weekend on a visit to Orkney. It is a lovely old house with many original features but at the same time had modern facilities including a lovely roll top bath as well as a good separate shower. Ruth and Edgar were the perfect hosts and made us feel especially welcome and relaxed. The breakfast on both... More

We arrived off the Aberdeen ferry a few minutes before midnight to be welcomed by a smiling Ruth. A lovely start to our stay in Orkney. 2 Dundas Crescent is an old Manse, ideally situated for exploring Kirkwall....a short walk to St Magnus, the Palaces and the main street. Lovely large high ceilinged rooms, spotless bathroom facilities and a superking... More

My husband and I stayed in this lovely B & B for 4 nights. The location is perfect; the room we had was huge with lots of natural lights; beautiful new bathroom; everything was spotless clean; delicious and generous breakfast. Owners Ruth and Edgar were friendly, helpful and delightful. Book your Kirkwall B & B at 2 Dundas Crescent -... More

It's hard to find a fault with this B&B: the breakfasts are generous, the rooms spotless, and the welcome warm. Edgar is a painter and decorator and keeps everything looking as though it was painted yesterday. None of the rooms is small compared to those at some B&Bs, but the room with the bay window verges on the palatial. All... More

I stayed here for 4 nights 'doing' mainland Orkney and Hoy. Its a very central location just 2 minutes walk downhill to St Magnus Cathedral, the (excellent) Orkney Museum and the Bishop's and Earl's Palaces, plus the main shopping street. You don't need to drive into town. 2 Dundas Crescent is a big old Church of Scotland 'Manse' (or 'rectory'... More

Ruth and Edgar make you very welcome and the room was very nice with a lovely newly fitted bathroom. Felt very at home. The location is brilliant. Just up the hill from the Cathedral and the main shopping street. Reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at this brilliant bed and breakfast for three nights. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the town centre in Kirkwall. We didn't have our own transport so being able to stroll into town for lunch and dinner was great. It is also only a short and inexpensive taxi ride to the airport. The... More

We had a comfortable and pleasant stay at this B & B, which is a short walk from the centre of Kirkwall, and so very convenient if you don’t have your own transport. The room was spacious and well-furnished with furnishings appropriate to the age and style of the house. Retaining the original shutters was a particularly nice feature. A... More

We had an excellent 2 night stay. Ruth and Edgar were fantastic hosts. The breakfast was hearty and good. 2 Dundas has a great old Orkney charm to it. Bedroom was spacious with its own bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Close to everything! We would definitely stay again!!
