Lovely pub in the heart of the countryside. Great views from our room, which was nicely presented, and clean. No problems with noise for us, even though we were directly above the bar. The food was fantastic, and likewise the breakfast the next morning was brilliant... We stayed as an anniversary treat, and although we don't live all that far... More

We have visited the Dog Inn on many occasions and always had fantastic food, service and drinks. This week we had medalions of pork off the specials and it was cooked perfectly. Added to this great service at the bar and the log fires going to keep warm on a rather cold day for early May was very relaxing... It was... More

I love it here. Most of my family are gluten intolerant, and the staff always make sure we know which items are suitable on the menu. Its such an insignificant thing to most, but to us it's a gesture that is truly appreciated. The food is amazing, reasonably priced, and service is always friendly, I just can't fault it

I stayed at The Dog after attending a Family Wedding. What a lovely place to stay, loved my room which had wonderful views. The breakfast was delicious & what I also loved was the fact the milk, for my coffee, was served hot! All of the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I have already recommended... More

We loved this place. The menu left us spoilt for choice and when the food came it lived up to all expectations. Wonderful atmosphere and completely worth a 40 minute drive, will definitely be returning.

We used to cycle here years ago. We revisited today. Sat outside in the sun. The inside has been revamped, the mens toilets are brilliant. A pint of Guinness and 2 pots of coffee. Good service with a smile. Empty on a Saturday lunchtime? We had our drinks, used the nice facilities, said goodby and off we went. We shall... More

Lovely building, beautiful setting. The food was over priced, but in fairness the price for B&B was very good. The downside, the excellent room was above the very busy bar, difficult to get off to sleep.
