We were glad that we selected dishes which offered a smaller portion - our "small portions" were generous, and we agreed that we would have had to leave some of the larger portions. The food was delicious and offered good value for money. The decor was pleasing. The service was excellent and friendly. Wine priced reasonably. Can't ask for more!

The room was comfortable and decent with reasonable decor. Had a lovely welcome from the lady who checked me in. The food is good and reasonably priced but not outstanding. The location is lovely, middle of nowhere, a real retreat for you.

Lovely attention and surroundings as usual. Food was fabulous, and the place couldn't do enough for us. Would fully recommend. Good prices as well. The location is very welcoming and even found out they have rooms to let, which I will bear in mind for the future.

This is a good standard country pub / restaurant which has some rooms for accommodation. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was well provided with furniture and the bathroom well stocked. Only downside was that the shower had low pressure and it took a lot longer than usual to get wet and then rinse the soap off! I... More

Clean room but a bit musty. Nice & spacious with good facilities - even a trouser press and hot water from a good shower electric shower. Its on a main road so can be somewhat noisy at times. Massive Car Park and service OK without being outstanding- quite strict on last orders at I think, 23.30 . Great selection of... More

Situated in Plumley village, it's in an ideal place to get trade from Northwich and Knutsford......that is if the villagers will let you in. Inside, the pub is decorated in an Ambridge-style rustic look with hops hanging from the ceiling, old (fake) prints and copper and brass items merrily scattered around on every possible surface. Food is outrageously expensive for... More

We have visited this 200-year-old inn in the village of Plumley for over twenty years. Situated a stone's throw from the station on the Manchester to Chester line, it sits snug in the countryside but is accessible to all. A few miles from our home, we have visited it frequently for meals. It is child friendly, pensioner friendly, and, indeed,... More

My husband and I totally enjoyed our weekend away at The Golden Pheasant. We stayed three nights and cannot fault anything. Richard should be so proud of the quality of service from all of the team. All of the staff were very attentive, the quality of customer service was as high as we could expect. A special mention for Carolyn... More

Stayed here overnight with my adult siblings as we had a family get together nearby. Really nice pub, good food in the evening plus great cooked breakfast in the morning. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable - very quiet, no noise from the pub .. 5 mins from junction 19 of M6 but nice and rural... More
