A motorway Inn with a view! Of a lake! Friendly staff, large room and view of a lake. A great place to stop off on the way to Scotland. more

Premier Inn Lockerbie (at M74 Annandale Water services) is a gem with fantastic dog-friendly staff. I've stayed there many times (its halfway between Southampton and Stornoway!) on both business and leisure and heartily recommend it to all. Request a lakeside room for outstanding views and a balcony. When your windows are shut there is no motorway noise at all. more

The room exceeded the usual Premier Inn standard, and is the first Premier Inn I have stayed with a balcony!! However, the experience was badly let down by the Road Chef restaurant. The menu for the evening was basic. Many tables had not been cleared, and floor cleaning was in progress at 18.30. It was more like eating in a... more

We were greated at the hotel when we arrived at midnight by a very friendly receptionist. She ensured we had a twin room, and made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless, and well maintained. The room had a small balcony overlooking the duck pond. The bathroom was nice and clean too. The Premier Inn eat as much as... more

We stayed here two years ago and thought it was great so booked for the outward and return trip again on route to Skye. The room was still nice with the view but the shower controls had a fault and it was difficult to control the temp. The main problem however was the food! Last stay we had a good... more

This must be the most scenic Motorway stopover in the UK ! We booked a room whilst stopping off at the services here and were amazed to find we had a room with a balcony you can sit out on which overlooks a large lake with swans, ducks, geese etc, and with a backdrop of hills, what a view! It... more

For an off-motorway service hotel, this PTI is in a great spot. We were very suprised (even after reading the earlier reviews on this site) as to how nice this location is. The room was standard for a PTI. For the four of us (2 adults, 2 children 12/14) we had one double/queen bed, a couch that made into a... more

This must be the premier of travel inns! Conveniently situated just off the motorway, this is a tranquil haven for a one night break for the weary motorist. When arranging a booking here my one tip would be to request a back room. We were very pleasantly surprised to discover a clean spacious family room with doors opening onto a... more

You don't expect much at a Premier Travel Inn, cheap and basic but usually a cut above a Travelodge. So maybe it was the low expectation that initially caused us to be so impressed with Annandale Water. We not only received a warm, friendly and efficient welcome at reception but experienced this with all the staff we met, including the... more

We stayed here enroute to the Isle of Mull and were not expecting much - just comfortable basic accommodation perhaps in a concrete corner by the motorway. WRONG ! The setting is beautiful - right beside a lovely lake with ducks and geese and lots of room to stretch legs, walk dog and let kids run around (or have a... more
