Stopped at The Drovers Inn for two nights whilst doing a sponsored walk along the Annandale Way. Really good food, clean rooms, free wifi and friendly staff. If you like burgers The Drovers is the place for you lot's of variety for the more traditional they do a wicked Haggis.

Had a sharing platter, was delicious! Huge onion rings, delicious chicken and haggis. My boyfriend had a foot long pork sausage, he was very pleased. I had macaroni and it came with tasty garlic get bread and a very flavoursome salad. I would highly recommend this little restaurant to everyone. I will definitely be returning :-) the managers are lovely... More

We stopped off en route to Glasgow, just a very quick detour from the M74 and worth the effort, certainly better than a Services Station. Though the place was quiet, the welcome and the food was superb, really, really good. We only had a main each, but both were so well cooked and presented. It's an interesting town for obvious... Cosy, friendly venue with cheerful, helpful staff, delicious main course and tweaked pudding (without cream for me) made the day so much more enjoyable. The price was very reasonable, what a surprise that for 3 of us with drinks & pudding, it was much less than £50. We will be back!

After driving down from Edinburgh, finding the Drover's Inn open and serving food until 10pm,was a welcome sight. We received a warm and friendly reception from the staff. The menu was wide and varied and sourced from local produce, the hardest part was actually deciding what to choose to eat! The food was plentiful and delicious. We will definitely be... More
