Stayed at the hotel during work, the service, the staff, the food all second to none!! The staff treated me like a family member... So happy to have stayed in room 12! The building is old and very warming, two bars one with a real coal fire going. Locals are very much involved in dinning am drinking here as the... More

We pulled off the M74 into Lockerbie wanting some "non motorway" food and took at random pick of the Kings Arms. What an oasis - warm welcome from staff, great service and a good choice on the menu. Food was great and tasty, brought promptly. Well worth the stop!

We were on a very long journey in December, the weather was cold and miserable. After driving for over 3 hours we decided to detour into Lockerbie in the hope of a warm drink. We did better by choosing the Kings Arms where we were served with bowls of hot soup, accompanied with bread. Staff were very friendly and we... More

We stayed here overnight with 2 dogs. All the staff are very friendly. We ate dinner and breakfast, both were lovely. It's right in the centre of Lockerbie, there's a small park just down the road to exercise dogs before onward journey. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here on a Saturday night during jazz festival. My sister and I stayed in twin room (room number 14). It was freezing when we arrived and we had to ask for heating to be put on. The single beds are REALLY narrow, seriously, don't even think about booking single beds here if you are not small of stature!! The... More

Took my mum out for the day and came here from lunch. Having been in the hospitality trade myself I can be quite critical but trust me this place is fantastic ! Wilma was fantastic and very friendly and helpful as my mum has walking problems, the food was delicious, fresh and presentation was second to none, well done to... More

The Kings Arms was such a quaint and lovely place. The rooms were quiet and clean and the staff were very friendly. The food is good, nothing fancy, but it hit the spot after a long day on the road. Breakfast was filling so we didn't feel the need to stop for snacks.

Sat nav directed us to the wrong hotel on the opposite end of the high street. But turned around and were delighted to finally find the really old hotel - converted from horse stables. We were greeted by John - (I think he lives there and does everything) warm greeting and then shown to our family room. Bit dated in... More

We visited this establishment for lunch on 9/8/14 but can only give this place 1 out of 5 because to be fair the bar staff are friendly enough, but the food is poor. I ordered the kings chicken curry which was supposed to include poppadums (note the s, as I only got one!) and naan bread. The curry can only... More
