Lockerbie Manor Hotel was chosen for me by my company as I was carrying out some work in the local area on the night of the 4th and early on the morning of the 5th. When I saw the website I was quite excited at the prospect of staying there, unfortunately I didn't come here to read the reviews first!... more

The door to the room was ill fitting, the overhead light was a 25 watt bulb (rather stingy for a 3 star hotel). The shower was stone cold and this was reported to reception, but despite an assurance that it would be looked at, it was still stone cold the next day. The decor was shabby white cartridge paper and... more

We held our wedding reception at the Lockerbie Manor in September 2007. Before we settled for the Manor, my wife and I visited quite a few venues in Dumfries and Galloway but so many of them felt unpersonal and restrictive with what they would do for us. It seems that a good few hotels have a "Menu" structure for weddings,... more

After reading the Lockerbie Manor web site we were disappointed with our stay. +'s; Grand looking building with nice comfortable public rooms and friendly overworked staff. -'s; Beware of the basement area, it's a different world down there with very tired old rooms and a unpleasant 'damp' smell. Our room, 22, a twin, felt as though it had not been... more

The actual building and surroundings were beautiful but the hotel itself is in serious need of updating! The common areas were pleasent enough (lobby, lounge, bar, dinning room) but the room we stayed in (Superior Double) was certaintly far from superior and in need of a good clean. The bed was terrible as were our backs in the morning. Dinner... more

Just back from a two night stay at Lockerbie Manor Hotel and cant fault it at all. There were 13 of us staying there whilst we got married at Gretna and the staff at the Manor went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our "big day" was perfect in every way. The rooms are full of character... more

Stayed two nights in a 4 poster large room and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Ideal location if you have a dog as the grounds are wooded and suitable for dog walking. Nice quite location - especially on a summer evenning with drinks on the lawn. People in the surrounding area were polite and friendly which made the... more

Stayed one night as a "special last night" of our holiday. It all looked very good and clean on entering the hotel. Checked in and went up to our room to find twin beds. We had paid for a large room with a four poster.... not quite the same thing. We went back to reception where the girl didnt even... more

We travelled up from the Midlands to visit friends in Lochmaben, arrived at 3.00pm having booked 3 rooms (party of 5) on the internet. Staff were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival and rooms looked clean and tidy with bags of "character". The Manager asked if we wanted an evening meal but we could not tell him as we did... more
