We booked this hotel at the last minute through laterooms.com for two nights; the hotel rate was £110.00 per night for a double room with laterooms.com we got it for £48.00 per room including breakfast. Although we booked for two we checked out after the first night as the hotel was so cold. The staff at the hotel certainly is... more

We spent 5 nights at Lockerbie Manor from the 27th December to the 1st January. A wedding party of 43 people spent the first 2 days and nights there to celebrate our wedding. We can only describe the wedding day as perfect. Everything we had hoped and planned for was catered for by the great team of staff at the... more

I stayed one night in November having taken a rate of £40 for a room. The hotel is a converted country manor house built for the Marquis of Queensbury in 1780. The young guy on reception was very friendly and showed me to my first floor room which was a double with en-suite. I'm not a particular fan of old... more

This hotel was in beautiful surroundings and is sympathetically furnished and decorated in it's period style. The hotel room was lovely, clean and spacious with a comfy four poster bed. However what made our stay here so lovely were the manager and staff, every single one of whom were welcoming and attentive; particularly our waitress Katie. The only slight disappointment was... more

We stayed for three nights midweek. The hotel was wonderfully quiet and we received a free room upgrade. The food and wine were fabulous. The staff were magnificent. A great place to get some peace and quiet. We would definitely go back. more

Lovely looking hotel, beautiful views and friendly staff. However, there were a number of problems. You can read my experience below but I would say that if you were to stay here it is worth phoning ahead and double checking your booking even if you've recieved a confirmation letter. Also don't stay in a single room they are sub-standard and... more

However when i arrived, the service, was like no other. I was offered coffee before i even had chance to sit... more

We booked via an agent for 2 nighs b&b and one evening meal, along with my sister and her husband. On arrival we were told we could only stay one night as a coach party was arriving, and had been booked into a SIMILAR hotel for the second night. There was no room for my sister and she went straight... more

Just returned from a short break at the Lockerbie Manor Hotel and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a bit of peace and quiet. The double room had been lovingly decorated and the jakuzzi bath made all the difference after a hard day's walking. The staff sounded refreshingly local, and nothing seemed to be a problem, we were... more

I had the pleasure of having my wedding reception at Lockerbie Manor on 4th August 2006 after marrying in Gretna. From the moment we arrived a few days before the wedding, my husband and I were made to feel very welcome. We really can't praise the staff enough - they were professional, warm, courteous and went out of their way... more
