You could not have asked for a nicer characterful hotel to spend a night away. The location of this hotel is fabulous. All topped off with service start to finish, through arrival at smilies at reception to the food in the restaurant and breakfast. Very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone. Will be back more

This is Fawlty Towers in the Scottish Lowlands. Nothing works as it should and everything is too much trouble. My wife and I stayed at Lockerbie Manor in late June, as the first night of our holiday, to break the journey on our way north. Like others here we were taken in by the professional website which makes it out... more

Looks great on the website but don't be fooled. The staff and management are not there to help and I haven't stayed in such a grubby, damp, poorly decorated room with such an uncomfortable bed since I was a student! The room hadn't been sorted properly (and other guests had worse than we did) and I had the impression I'd... more

Well I would like to firstly start by expressing how surprised I was with the Lockerbie manor hotel, following my previously reading reviews on this website ( and I have to say I feel a little compelled to write a realistic review as I feel the ones posted do not portray the hotel accurately). Myself and my partner viewed the... more

I booked this hotel for my wedding back in January 2008 at a wedding fayre organised by the hotel. At the time I was taken aback with the beautiful drive up to the hotel and the well maintained function room - However don't be fooled - these are the only good aspects of this hotel!! Relaxed at having our wedding... more

I was in Lockerbie for the Jazz Festival and wanted to stay at Lockerbie Manor as most of the concerts I was booked for were at this venue. Fortunately they were only able to provide rooms for the first night and we booked into another hotel for the next two. When we arrived the main reception rooms looked very nice... more

A beautiful building, a beautiful setting. The positive stops there. The manager of the hotel was beligerent from the start, The rest of the staff did their utmost but, apart from the receptionist, seemed wholly inexperienced and unqualified. What could be a great country hotel is ruined by under development and disgraceful management. I was shown the 'bridal suite'. Unless... more

When travelling up the drive way I got a sense that our stay was going to be special. A friends wedding is always a joyous occasion but this one was something else and I have to put this almost entirely down to the venue and staff. On arrival we were greeted by kind and pleasant staff. Our room although not... more

Lockerbie Manor Hotel was chosen for me by my company as I was carrying out some work in the local area on the night of the 4th and early on the morning of the 5th. When I saw the website I was quite excited at the prospect of staying there, unfortunately I didn't come here to read the reviews first!... more
