“Relaxing break in beautiful countryside”

We took 3 teenagers and a 9 year old for a peaceful break in the half term. The journey from London took about 6 hours but it was well worth it and we will definitely visit again. We come here several years and stil coming back because we love everything, the cottage the woods the animals and aspecialy the owners.

Great base and setting to explore the vast open space, both local and surrounding areas, whether that be walking, fishing, biking or running. I left Kirkwood after a week feeling absolutely relaxed, and that's with 2 children amoungst our group. The cottage is situated in a very peaceful location, you are surrounded by beautiful scenic views. However nearby villages and towns aren't too far away should you require a pub or a supermarket.
