Basically, do yourself (and your wallet) a favour and book in at the Premier Inn. This place is dated and tatty. I was treated to the single box room, with a square footage on par with a rabbit hutch with décor and styling by George and Mildred! The last time this place had a makeover Bonnie Tyler was probably No.1... More

The room reminds me of bed sit, and not a nice one. half used shower wash still in the bathroom from previous guest, which i would never use myself. the dust in the room is high in volume as shown in the one of the pictures and was still like that the following day, The desk with the drink making... Outrageously expensive for something just above doss house standards. Smelly, scruffy and battered. My mattress was totally shot with springs sticking in my back. It's poor when you have to get out of bed to relax. The room I had looked onto a plain brick wall. It was extremely hot but opening the windows made the noise from the air... More

I just needed a clean tidy room and breakfast and the Ramada delivered on those criteria alone quite well. It is slap bang town centre and with the free parking makes it very convenient for work and going out in the evening. Yes... The decor is dated and in places a little worn but this was very good value and... More

Never a smile, except for breakfast team, everything is old, last insulation work was 30 years ago. No I will never Come back. Too expensive for what is offered. Too noisy !!! Go there only if you would follow the TV program of your neighbour.

Ramada is a decent hotel, even if a little bit old. Rooms are clean, and the staff who welcome for breakfast is great. I did not appreciate the staff at the front desk, a little bit confused and I didn't feel welcomed.

Was booked into this hotel by my company so after ready reviews on here I went in not expecting a 5 star experience. On arrival the hotel smelt very musty as if it hadn't been aired in years. On arrival they had reserved the wrong room so a new room had to be sorted out. When trying to get into... More

Although the hotel is well located, it is badly in need of refurbishment. It is expensive for the quality of the rooms, Premier Inn is a better choice. Bathrooms are very dated, and seem to be 1970's era, with shower curtains rather than screens, no towel rail, and generally below par. Good points are adequate parking (although current roadworks make... More

We stayed here prior to going on a rail journey for a special occasion. To be fair, there weren't many hotels to choose from here. So the ramada is probably one if the best. Found the room clean but the whole hotel is dated and really needs refurbished. The staff were very friendly though. Hotel situated in avert central location... More

I booked this hotel from the images and facilities listed on-line which made it look a bit 'retro' but modern. Only the retro part of this turned out to be true and that's because most of what I came across was probably 70s orginal! Generally the facilities were pretty tired and scruffy and rather disappointing. On the plus side my... More
