I stayed one night in this hotel on a visit to the University of Loughborough.
The best of this hotel is the extremely quiet room. We took a family room (3 bed), which was spacious and confortable. Free internet access was of high quality and speed. Breakfast was good, with wide choice of English and continental breakfast items.
The hotel...

As previous reviews stated, we also found this place very tired and in urgent need of the hotel inspectors touch!! Very dark, in need of brightening up!!! creaky floorboards and doors that you had to bang to shut!!! Having said that the staff were friendly and helpful, We were given our room, only to find out that the toilet didnt...

Cheap, friendly staff, good food, clean rooms, little bit dated like other reviewers said but I'd stay here again because theirs nothing wrong with the place.
We had a one night stay at the Cedars, travelling from South Wales for a family funeral. What can you say? The previous reviews kind of sums it up - the whole place is in desperate need of an upgrade. But I have to say, if you're there for a night it's an ok place to lay your head.

A nice quiet location, the noisiest things are the passing steam trains, but then many guests are there for the steam railway anyway. We went for the steam railway beer festival. Nice tidy rooms, everything works, nice bar & restaurant. The was a lively birthday party one evening, but we still got a quiet table in the restaurant. Highly recommended.
Cheap and chearful comes to mind when I came to review this hotel . we stayed as a couple for one night and although we found the staff to be friendly and helpful ; that was as far as it went . We were in Room 16 ; upstairs - right at the very end near the fire exit and...

Once upon a time comfy sofas now with damaged seats etc. When a companion asked at reception if there was a lift he was told "your legs"! The...

What a dreadful place - the accommodation was pretty awful. Do NOT sleep in a downstairs room - with wooden floor boards above, you hear everything in the room above you. The food was very nice.
For a recent 2 day business trip I was keen to find a comfortable place to stay and I came across the Cedars Hotel! I had not heard of it before but delighted with my google search as it was personable, with a good good breakfast and great value for money! Would stay again.
