Stayed here for a couple of nights recently and received a very warm welcome on arrival. We were given a room in the annexe which had a very big and comfortable bed. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, but the shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. Overall the room was very clean but... More

Stayed for just one night. In a separate annexe, nicely equipped and very clean. Plenty of free parking and option to eat in the hotel offered. Bar available in the hotel which was quiet but reasonably priced. Good nights sleep with no noise. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Overall would stay here again if in the area.

What a lovely little B&B. Breakfast was excellent, beds were comfy, owners very friendly and it was so easy just to sit in the bar and relax in the evening. Unfortunately we didn't have dinner there but if the breakfast is anything to go by it'd be very good. We only stayed one night but if we're back that way... More

Most unwelcoming literally 'here is your key, your room is upstairs ' while a German shepherd stood menacingly in the back ground. Smallest room I have ever stayed in. Breakfast ok, but not special, bacon over cooked. Check out was as unfriendly as check in.

Stopped for one night on a business trip. Room was fine with good water pressure from the shower, dinner was very good, even if the pie of the day beat me on points, good French wine by the glass, pleasant host and hostess. Recommended

Stayed here for a night whilst breaking a journey to Wales to visit relative. An excellent small hotel. Our room - a twin - was in the annex, well appointed and with a decent shower. A short step across the passage led to a nice little bar, and across the corridor an excellent dining room. We had booked dinner and... More

I have just returned from one night in the Mountsorrel. My son and I were attending a formal military dinner at a nearby establishment and all we really needed was a bed for the night and a twin here was just the ticket. We arrived seperately and my greeting was warm and efficient, as I am assured was my son's.... More

Just returned home having stayed here for the second year running to attend a local reunion. Have to say the Mountsorrel is probably the best small hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything about is welcoming, friendly and pleasing. A group of us stayed for dinner the first night and it was excellent, the chef knows his stuff. Breakfasts offer... More
