I have stayed at most of the hotels in Lowestoft over the last year or so , the Victoria is easily the best. Excellent service together with good facilities and the premier location make this hotel difficult to fault. The new Coast restaurant (which has just won an award from tha AA) is also very good , I would recommend... more

We arrived in lowestoft at night and we saw 3 people beating a man senseless as we drove by in the car. The area is disgusiting. It is filled with graffiti and the crime rate is staggering. The hotel was extremely nice and after we got over the fear factor of the enviroment we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is... more

The Victoria Hotel is brilliantly situated with fantastic beach views. Staying at a seaside hotel on your own for a weekend in November is often disappointing but the great staff and ambiance of the Victoria made it an excellent break. The food was good, both at dinner and breakfast, and the bar is very pleasant. Reception staff are very professional... more

We went to Lowestoft to see some old friends, they said this is the best place to stay, so we checked out the website and booked. It was fantastic, staff, room and bar all great. We had dinner with our friends and the food and service was far better than we expected. This is the place to stay and eat... more

Decided to stay at the Hotel Victoria after a disasterous stay at another 3 * hotel nearby. Chalk and cheese ! The Victoria really does live up to expectations with the restaurant worthy of recognition on it's own. Try to book a seaview room, but don't worry you will enjoy the food whichever bedroom you book. Will return with my... more

This hotel has an excellent seafront location. It is far enough from the piers and amusement arcades to be quiet but stil on the main promenade.Half a mile walk south reaches the natural coastline of low cliffs, going north passes the modern developments and the commercial docks then the !8th century old High Street and eventually the parks with small Maritime Museum.... more

I spent two months in this hotel, when I was temporarily transfered from the Aberdeen office to the Lowestoft Office. A good location right on the beach and a five minute walk into the town centre. The breakfast room looked out onto the beach. Large clean airy rooms, (Apart from my first one, number 4 (?), which was small and... more

We stopped at this hotel over the may day bank holiday. We hadn't booked and arrived ay 1 a.m, we were tired and had had a long journey. The night receptionist could not have been more helpful. The hotel has a 24 hour bar open to residents, for which we were grateful, with a bar man who is friendly and... more

we first discovered the Victoria about 7 years ago and since then have been regular visitors. Like a lot of folk we have stayed at many hotels, particularly in east Anglia and this is certainly our favourite. The views, as previous visitors have said are breath-taking. The service is explemary, both at dinner and breakfast. We know that every time... more
