This was a trip with my wife, sister and brother in law, booked by my sister via LastMinute.com. Overall, for the price the hotel was very good - those who complain need to book 5 star accommodation, you get what you pay for. Arrived and the receptionist was very surly. Asked to a credit card for payment. Showed the receipt... more

We were a bit worried after reading others' reviews but we got it very cheap from lastminute.com so we bit the bullet. On arrival we were met by a cheerful and very pleasant young lady at reception. We were on the second floor and were pleasantly suprised by our room. It was large and had a good sized bed which... more

Called in the day before and mentioned lastminute.com Immediately they lowered their price from £59 to £45 and upgraded us to an executive with sea view! The room was rather tired looking, did have a sea view but 4 lights did not work in the chandelier, 2 out of wall lights and the wind came through the gaps around the... more

Had the unfortunate pleasure of staying at the Hatfield for two nights. We had asked for a nice quiet room as we do not sleep very well. We arrived to find a cold room, above the disco, and the bedding was dirty. The carpet was worn out and the room needed a general facelift. The bed had small lumps sticking... more

Good position overlooking sea. Rooms need upgrading and the bed was so hard! Next to nightclub which caused some disturbance. Food very good and very good value breakfast. more

We have just stayed at the Hotel Hatfield. It is very comfortable, maybe a bit old fashioned, but all the more charming for that. It is not Travelodge. We had a superb meal in the restaurant. The breakfast was on special offer at the moment. The breakfast menu was very comprehensive & included kippers which I guess are smoked locally.... more

I wasn't sure what to expect from this after reading the other reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. Customer service was exceptionally good: staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The hotel is right on the beach and the restaurant looks out to sea. I had dinner in the hotel and it was... more

I've just returned from my 1 night stay at the Hotel Hatfield. I was a bit dubious of staying here after reading some of the reviews, but I needn't have worried. Check in was hassle free and we went straight up to our room. Granted the floors creaked a little and the bed was a bit hard, but it is... more

The room booked was listed as the Superior Double also known as the Suite....boasting sea views, four poster bed,jacuzzi....The view was very disappointing...windows filthy on the outside impairing views not to mention window not really designed for views. The bed was lumpy but ok...the best bit was probably the jacuzzi lol... Now if your discussing the food and the restaurant...you will... more

I was taking my 81 year old mother back to her birth place of Lowestoft after many years of being away. I asked for a sea view and said I wanted to make it a memorable stay. They gave us the Ryan Suite for no extra charge which had wonderful sea views, a beautiful old four poster bed lovely furnishings... more
