Popped in here for a cream tea and enjoyed a relaxing time sitting in the lovely conservatory (with our dog). Friendly and professional service and an excellent cream tea, very reasonably priced, which also included an additional hot drink.

We booked an afternoon tea with Stanwell House through Red Letter days. The hotel were very helpful and allowed us to change the booking on the day we wanted to go. The food was excellent as was the service. From what we saw of the hotel it looked very nice and is set in a great location.

I stayed in a garden room and loved having direct access to the pretty, tranquil garden. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. The choice of breakfast dishes was excellent, loved the home-made granola and tried something different every day. The taster menu is excellent value for money as well as having some very interesting... More

Dreadful! Avoid at all costs. Find somewhere else but don’t stay here! A real rip-off. Absolutely no consideration for their guest’s “customer experience”. We got off to a bad start. On checking-in we were told the £145.00 B&B rate we had paid in advance did not include breakfast – for which the hotel wanted another £12.50 + VAT per person.... More

The staff at this wonderful boutique hotel could not have been more helpful in organizing a party I threw for my sister. We stayed in the hotel and had private use of their amazing mini pavilion (The Ten) in the garden for dinner which was so so special - the food was fantastic (we had a summer BBQ) and everyone... Friendly welcome and an upgrade to a suite on the first floor overlooking the rear garden. Well appointed room with walk in shower. Considering this hotel is on the high street it was so peaceful, we slept with the window open. We stayed on Fathers Day which was also my husbands birthday so the hotel was busy in the afternoon,... Hotel situated on High Street but very quiet. Perfect location to wander around the town or head down to Marina. Staff very helpful and accommodating. As with previous comments the room are starting to look tired and worn weary. Breakfast was good usual cereal choices full English good but sadly eggs Benedict let down by processed thin sliced ham. Would we... More

To our delight an offer come up on Travelzoo for an over night stay with afternoon tea, a five course taster menu and breakfast the following morning. Lovely centrally located hotel, very helpful and professional staff and fantastic food. We stayed in Room 22 which is not the quietest (window onto high street) however, had a window seat and great for watching the world go by! Breakfasts were excellent with large choice and excellent quality. Dinner was wonderful - it made for a fantastic 30th wedding anniversary... More
