We came here for a weekend away. The price was reasonable, the accommodation was centrally located and the rooms lovely with comfy beds and brilliant breakfast. I cannot fault it at all and will definitely look to come and book again! Ten out of ten!

Our 2nd stay and no complaints. Although check in time quoted as 5 we have been able to so well before this. Great warm and comfy rooms. Beds are really comfortable. I had a truly wonderful sleep. Staff friendly and polite. Good breakfast cooked to order with good quality ingredients. Will definitely stay again..

Found on late rooms, what a find. Staff excellent, especially the young girl who served breakfast. If you were feeling miserable, she certainly brightened up your morning, what a smile! Everything excellent, from breakfast to lovely comfy bed, great coffee machine with excellent supply of coffees, teas and hot chicolate. The owner was so helpful as was the bar staff.... More

Stayed for 2 nights a Friday & Saturday. The pub is in a good location, tucked away but a short walk to the High St and harbour. The rooms are fine, one or two things could be improved but nothing serious. The breakfast is great, juice, cereals, toast and choice of cooked food all included in the nightly rate. The... More

My partner and I stayed here for just a night while visiting family in the new forest. We got there on a Friday evening and were greeted by a pleasant receptionist who explained everything to us from where the room was, to breakfast times and check out time. We then went to a family party and werent back until after... More

The lady on the bar looked after us really well, it's a shame there aren't more locals coming in regularly to ensure the bar stays open until 11pm. The first night, luckily, there were a few people in and we ate (pies a speciality) and drank until closing. The second night the place was shut by the time we got... More

Very friendly service, none of the staff could be faulted during our stay. The accom is great for what it is , the room was clean and wasn't noisy. Nice cooked breckie in the morning. Only negatives were the tiny car park which was totally full , luckily was parking on road and the relatively high cost of the room... More

Lovely clean room with excellent ensuite facilities. WIndows were a bit rattley but not so bad to keep us awake. Really friendly staff. Meals were from a choice of a variety of pies but they were excellent - full of meat. Breakfast was full English along with choice of cereals. Happy to recommend and would stay again if in the... A small hotel, with parking, in the centre of town, over a welcoming pub serving excellent pies and good choice of beers. Staff most attentive, efficient and smiling! Fairly priced. Hotel rooms are typical of remodelled late Victorian/ early Edwardian interiors but perfectly comfortable.
