Returned today from 3 day break at the Grand.Have to say that this particular time we were rather disappointed-standards appear to have fallen recently!Specifically our so-called executive room was a basic doublebedded room with the following faults noted- Broken pedalbin in ensuite;broken toilet seat;dirty carpet;small tv housed in cabinet which when withdrawn on a sliding shelf did not allow for... more

Just returned from St Annes having spent two nights in The Grand. There was no evidence of any building work as stated by the previous reviewer but this could have been because we were there over the weekend. The hotel presents as an elegant upmarket place to stay & it didn't fail to deliver. The room was well appointed with... more

Dear Reviewer, Thank you for your positive comments, the management are now reviewing all Trip Advisor entries and will respond accordingly. I can inform you that we are actually refurbishing rooms at the moment so will have more boutique rooms for guests to enjoy at the beginning of December, fortunately our contractors are discreet and try in the best possible...

Just returned from a really really disappointing stay at the Grand. When phoning to book, my hubbie expressly asked for a quiet room. He explained we'd been very stressed recently and were in real need of a relaxing break and were looking to pamper ourselves. We booked into a turret room, which was pretty pricey, but we needed a treat.... more

Managers response. In response to the above e-mail, I am disappointed to hear that you had a below par visit to The Grand that it led you to comment in such a manner. After speaking to you both in the morning I thought I has apologized as much as possible for the communication error that our receptionist made during your...

Stayed at the Grand for 2 nights over halloween weekend with my husband, 2 children and my mum. Booked the Grand as an upgrade from the Dalmeny which is in bad need of refurbishment. On arrival we took lunch in the Cafe Grand whilst waiting for the rooms to be ready. Restaurant is very stylish and clean, menu is very... more

An excellent hotel generally, they have really made an effort and it is clearly head and shoulders above local rivals. We had a superior room with a sea view which was excellent and very reasonable although we were dissapointed that only a continental breakfast was included, there is a signifiant suppliment for the cooked breakfast. Lovely spa, very well designed... more

I booked this hotel very last minute to take my two year old to see the illuminations in Blackpool ( she loved the lights but Blackpool is dreadful ! ) It is a 4 star but having stayed at many hotels around the World I found this hotel was on a par with many 5 stars. The hotel its self... more

We only stayed one night, as they were fully booked up for bank holiday, and we booked at very short notice, after cancelling the Dirty Dalmeny. As usual, it was clean, lovely rooms, warm, good location, nice staff and the pool...is so warm and a decent size, with a jacuzi, sauna, and gym! The food is also good in the restaraunt.... more

Beautiful hotel but let down by some surly, unhelpful staff. Booked a room with a sea view but got a view of the car park instead. Carpet in the room was dirty. Overpriced for what you get. more

Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a friends wedding. The hotel is by far the nicest along the Lytham St Annes sea front, the exterior is attractive and well kept, ideal for a wedding reception. The lobby/bar/restaurant/function areas have been recently refurbished to a very high standard and the rooms are in progress. We had room 418 which was... more

We had mixed feelings. For a start, it was the only decent hotel to choose, so it was out of necessity really. Very old, bit dirty in places. Lovely pool and outside areas. Lovely bar and lovely restuarant. Our room was in the new extension, so very clean and everything brand new. Would stay here again if I could be... more
