My partner and I stayed at the Glendower for 3 nights and we ate in the hotel, the food was really nice and the breakfast was too. The bar staff and restaurant staff were 'ok' not overly enthusiatic about their job but I guess they work long hours etc however I would have liked them to look a little happier,... more

I've not yet checked out of this terrible hotel yet, but am lying beneath a wafer thin blanket and sheet, shivering, as I listen to other guests chatting on the phone, coughing, sneezing, watching their TVs and the best yet, urinating, through paper thin walls (just to clarify, only the sound came through the wall, still pretty revolting though). I... more

Had a weekend break at this hotel from 7/11/08 to 9/11/08. Position: Quiet area of the town but only a short walk from the shops. Hotel overlooks the beach and sand dunes. Reception: Very helpful and friendly and answered all questions asked. Bedroom: We were in a sea facing room which was described as "superior". Not too sure what that... more

I have just returned from a weekend break at The Best Western Glendower Hotel. We were going to see the lights at Blackpool. The location is great, it is definitely worth staying in Lytham St Annes rather than Blackpool. The hotel is the last one on the front so it is really quick to get to the centre. All the... more

After a 5 hour journey due to appalling weather conditions we arrived late at this hotel at approximately 12.30am. We had called at 10.20pm to advise we were en-route but delayed. Need not have bothered, most disinterested. Upon arrival, we were met not with a welcome but a sharp 'Name?' no eye contact and after several minutes given a room... more

Booked this hotel through activehotels.com, and paid extra for a superior searoom view which was supposed to have a wonderful seaview and be more spacious. When we arrived, we were given a room at the back of the hotel ovelooking another building. When we tried the TV (to watch the Golf Open), there was no signal. I asked reception if... more

My wife & I stayed at the Glendower for a weekend. It has a great location. The room was spacious and very well maintained. The staff from the manager down were very courteous and helpful (couldn't do enough for you). Very good food, well presented. Will definitely go again. more

I had my wedding at this hotel after looking at all the hotels along the front I found the service was friendly and the reception itsself was excellent. We even sampled the food before the day event and this turned out just as fantastic on the day for our 90 guests. All our guests had a great time I would... more

Stayed here for 2 nights - hotel booked by work Arrived and check-in was fine. Room was a little small, but modern and clean. Only 4 channels on the TV, no 'phone directory, and the room was somewhat sparse - an achievement considering it's size. Bed was very hard, something I think is fine, but others may want something altogether... more

We stayed here for one night following a wedding reception at the nearby Grand Hotel. The communal areas of this hotel are decorated very nicely and are very pleasant, however the bedroom we stayed in was pretty awful. It was very small and in rather desperate need of renovation. The "double" bed was the smallest I've ever seen, covered in... more
