The hotel was clean but old. The food was terrible, and as I was on my own for business I was told to sit on a solo table either in a corner or in the middle of the room. Water in shower was cold and shower had no power. They said parking was available, it was not I had to... more

we have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 5years , but we were put into a room that was very tired and badly in need of refurbishing the radiators were not working only heating was a small wall heater which was on a timer for 1hr at a time .The bath panel was loose shower was very... more

The radiators are in full working order and are operated by individual valves in the room, if you had informed us of having any difficulties with this a member of staff would have adjusted the heating in your room to the required level. We do also have wall heaters to boost the temperature in the room if needed. We have...

My husband and I decided to travel down to see Blackpool illuminations and stay overnight for one night which was a Saturday. As we had spent many happy holidays in the Chadwick with our children (who are now grown up) in the past we decided it would be nice to return to the Chadwick. I telephoned the Chadwick during the... more

Thank you for your comments and may we take this opportunity to expand on our pricing. The rate quoted at the initial contact was discounted from our normal rates because we happened to have a room free for the Saturday night only due to other bookings so the reservations staff quoted you a discounted rate to encourage you to book...

We have stayed at the hotel for the last three years and we have no complaints at all. Fair enough, the rooms are old-fashioned, but they are always clean and not shabby. We were happy to have been allocated a 'room with a view' at the front of the hotel for no extra charge. This hotel is good for kids... more

Was hoping this was going to be family friendly - however, it still seems to be stuck in the old times. My wife needed to take the kids to the loo quickly as we were playing with them on the green opposite - I suggested that she pop into the Chadwick and ask if it was ok for them to... more

This incident obviously occured when the hotel was at full capacity and, with staff waiting at the door, we were also expecting a large function to arrive. We do have to prioritise our guests and diners comfort before non-guests.

I'm afraid to say that this hotel has become run-down and is in desperate need of a refurb. The hotel used to be a pleasure to stay in but it now needs a lot of work doing to return it to it's former glory. The swimming pool only fits about 2 people in it at a time and the gym... more

Thank you for your review, we are pleased that you enjoyed your meals whilst you were here. We have been working on refurbishing the hotel, which is obviously a gradual process but one in which we are continuing to do. The swimming pool is approx 4m x 9.5m, plus jacuzzi.

Superb Food

Just had a weeek-end at the Chadwick in St Annes on Sea. We have stayed here many times and the standard remains consistently high. Check-in is simple, quick, and they even get the Yorkshire Post for you on a Saturday Morning - not bad for Lancashire! The Leisure Centre is showing signs of wear, but is always clean, the Sauna... more

The Chadwick's Website gives the impression of a boutique kind of hotel: 'Best Small Hotel" awards and all that. The trouble is that it won the award a long time ago - and it shows. We changed the first room we were allocated as access to the shower was poor, there was a hole in the plasterwork and the single... more

After staying at the Chadwick many times we have been bitterly disappointed with our last stay. We stayed in a "family room" which was very cramped. It was also damp with peeling wallpaper at the window sill that was covered in water. Due to the damp wallpaper there was a musty smell in the room, not at all healthy for... more
