Had a very comfortable one night stay here. We got a friendly welcome at reception and a very efficient check in. We parked easily at the free car park at the back of the hotel. The twin room was nice and the bathroom very nice indeed. It took us a while to realise how to unplug the basin though! A... More

i quite like this hotel despite the small cramped and hard to find car park( turn towards public car park at lights and a small sign gives a clue). Room was excellent and hotel was Very quiet mainly due to the fact that the hotel restaurant was closed so sadly we were forced to walk into town and try another... More

Not quite what we expected. We arrived at 7pm. and found the hotel car park eventually. Unfortunately it was full so we had to park in a public car park. We therefore approached the hotel from the front and had great difficulty in spotting the little gate that said Reception. We had the giggles by this point as the whole... More

We stayed here for one night when visiting Oakham. We had a large double room with a comfortable bed, a couple of chairs and a powerful shower in the en-suite. The room was at the front of the hotel facing the road but was still quiet. There is car parking and the hotel is very close to the centre of... More

The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the room was a good size, clean and had a modern bathroom. Breakfast is made to order, plus there's a buffet with jams, cereals, fruit juice, etc.. The hotel is close to the castle and the market, and quiet at night. I would stay here again.

Stayed for two nights on an East Midlands cycling trip. Huge first floor room with a four poster bed. Utilitarian though adequate furniture, ditto decoration. Despite being on one of the main roads out of Oakham, noise was not a problem. Wired internet in the room which was excellent, no need to try Wi-Fi which was also available I believe.... More

I have now stayed at this Hotel on 5 different occasions. Every time I have always been greeted with fantastic warmth. The rooms and showers in the extension part of the building are the better quality. The breakfast is to order and nothing is ever to awkward for them to achieve.

The staff were friendly and really helpful. The location was perfect, well within walking distance of the shops and attractions. The room clean & quiet. Breakfast was tasty and there was a great selection to choose from. The only negative I can think of was that the wifi was out of range in my room. I would definitely recommend the... More

To be fair I expected a little more luxury for £110 per night. Quite a quaint establishment in a lovely town. Receptionist allowed us to check in early as we were going to a wedding in Oakham Castle. We stayed in room 20 on the ground floor. Unfortunately uncomfortable bed and tired flat pillows were not sleep inducing. bathroom, however... More

Well worth considering if you want somewhere to stay in the area. Pleasant rooms and a good breakfast (although I didn't eat dinner or lunch there). It has a convenient central location and there isno problem about parking or access from the railway station.
