Myself and my partner stayed at The Old Wisteria this weekend, and were so pleased with the service, location, cleanliness and breakfast during our weekend break! We were staying in Oakham as a base, while attending a wedding 5 minutes up the road near Rutland Water. The manager Debbie was fantastic, allowing us to check in early to avoid rushing... More

Picked the Old Wisteria as it was very convenient for walking into the centre of Oakham. Decided to arrive a day earlier than anticipated which the hotel was able to accommodate & then when we arrived asked to change rooms as the one we were initially given faced on to the road. There was no problem with changing rooms &... More

Stayed in this little town as part of our honeymoon. Hotel is very quiet, plenty of parking and nicely presented. Room was a good size with four poster bed. Would recommend if staying in Oakham area. This is a very nice town to stop off in, a number of places to eat too.

The bedroom was spacious and well decorated with a modern bathroom / shower. The room service was excellent. We booked here because another hotel was full. We will book here instead of the other hotel next time.

The Old Wisteria is a hotel nestling in a small market town steeped in history. The building dates from the 1600s to the present day with all ages blending together in a delightful way. From arrival to departure, the people looking after us were friendly and welcoming without being obtrusive. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with solid pine... More

Stayed at this hotel for a business trip and was well impressed. Checking in was a bit strange in the sense that it was really quiet and kinda of empty. But the room was immaculate and spacious. The double bed however was 2 single bed put together which couple will not like it but since it was just me alone... More

We frequently stay at The Old Wisteria when visiting my family and it really does feel like a home from home. The staff are fantastic - really friendly and ready to help. The rooms are wonderful - comfortable beds, well laid out and the bathrooms are of that relaxation quality - the sort where you can lounge in the bath... More

We paid just £80 for dinner, bed and breakfast: a bargain! Yes, the hotel lacked a bit of atmosphere in the evening but the food was excellent. Free wifi and a super bathroom added to the experience. And Kate was so friendly and accommodating.
