The Christmas lunch was simply outstanding. The room was decorated beautifully and the atmosphere was superb. The service was first class and the bar was well stocked. The festive drink on arrival was excellent. You couldn't wish for a better venue to have a group lunch and party. In short it was brilliant. Thank you Steve, Georgina and the team... More

Stayed over at the Castle Lodge this last weekend as we where having our Company Christmas Party. The room was nice and clean although could do with a little TLC to smarten it up a bit, I had asked for a room with a river view so we where up in the gods on the very top floor. Nice room... More

If you want excellent food and the most comfy bed ever, then stay at the Castle Lodge Hotel, we have stayed a couple of times now and it just gets better. Beautiful walks by the river and yet only 5 minutes from the centre of Ross-on-Wye.

A group of three of us stayed here for a couple of nights to celebrate my friend's birthday and were made to feel really welcome and at home. The evening meals and breakfasts were excellent and our rooms were very clean and pleasant and had a lovely character. The weather was perfect and we had wonderful drives around the surrounding... Little black Sambo????????? When I was driving back from Cardiff, the traffic was so heavy and I wasn't feeling well. I considered stopping overnight in a Hotel in Ross on Wye. I saw the Castle Lodge Hotel conveniently off the roundabout and pulled into the car park as I saw 'room vacancies ' on the entrance door. I got of... More

We recently celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary and we had booked afternoon tea for 36 family and friends at a Hotel in Ross-on-Wye. Over the Bank holiday weekend we discovered the Hotel had closed. We live in Maidenhead but were celebrating our anniversary in Ross-on-Wye as it's where we lived for many years. We drove down to RossonWye endeavouring to... More

Stayed at this hotel for one night as we were going to a wedding, would have liked to have stayed a bit longer and sampled an evening meal. The breakfast was lovely. The rooms were nice and the bed was very comfortable. Steve and Georgina were really nice people and very attentive to ones needs.
