We stayed at this lovely Hotel last weekend, there were six of us (3 couples) and we all agreed that the staff and food were excellent!! Breakfast was delicious and the quality of Dinner was amazing and had us stuffed! The rooms we stayed in were a little tired and small but were very clean, thank you to the friendly... More

Just spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel with my wife and dear friends. The customer service was outstanding! Particular thanks go to 2 members of staff, Mel and Andy who always made us feel very welcome.

My partner and I called in for lunch last Thursday. We were told we could eat in either the conservatory or the bar. The conservatory smelled of fried food and the tables were damaged by what looked like burn marks so we went into the bar, only to find that the table tops were in an equally unattractive state. My... More

Very nice food and friendly service. This place is a must for anyone interested in history. The Old Court has kept many of its original charming character and was once owned by General John Simcoe - founder of the City of Toronto, Canada in 1792. He is buried in a mausoleum the nearby church of St Dubricius which is also... More

We stayed in the Artiste room which was above the kitchen. This was a free upgrade to the room we booked which we appreciated. However we were kept awake all night by the kitchens refrigeration unit which was making all sorts of loud wonderful noises every half an hour during the night. The room had character but the bed uncomfortable... More

We booked this Hotel for a school function. They hosted well over 50 people with ease. The function room was beautifully decorated. The food supplied was plentiful and delicious! The service from the staff was faultless. I would, without any shadow of a doubt, recommend this Hotel and I will certainly be visiting them again.

We booked this hotel after cancelling a reservation with a supposedly disabled friendly cottage, the landlady did not seem to have much consideration towards a younger generation with disabilities. But oh how glad we are that we cancelled, we could not have found a better place to stay. We have actually stayed at The Old Court before, but this establishment... More

First went to this place with my partner earlier in the year, and we returned in August with a group of 12 friends. The service is excellent - well organised and efficiently but also very friendly. The catering both times was faultless, and we were particularly impressed at how excellently we were treated as a large group - they even... More

Stayed for 4 nights in September 2014 at this lovely Hotel and received a warm welcome from Victoria. We had a cottage apartment situated in an old converted sheep shed which was absolutely marvellous and very atmospheric,...especially for visitors from Australia. The cottage was fitted out with all we needed for self catering during our stay but we had 2... More

Have stayed before 7 years ago, I believe it is now owned by different owners. Standards have been kept up however. Plenty of character and charm internally with log fires, good reasonably priced food. with bar meal or restaurant options. Only drawback on this visit was the roof coverings were being renewed although maintenance work has to be carried out... More
