Excellent food and service. They only use local produce. Staff very friendly & helpful. Would go again & thoroughly recommend. Couldn't be better placed in the centre of Ross and for seeing the whole area. The room was quite small [but it is an old building] and well appointed with a walk in shower in a modern bathroom. good car... More

We arrived on a Saturday at 12 to check in, the gentleman on arrival was pleasant enough and we were happy that we were able to have our rooms straight away which they didn't have to do. The pub and restaurant down stairs was decorated lovely. The rooms are beautiful and very unique, nothing is straight given the age of... More

Thank you for your review of the hotel, we are pleased you liked the decor and ambience of our bar, restaurant and your bedroom. We are very sorry to hear your sleep was disturbed by a couple of inconsiderate fellow guests. We do ask guests returning late, not to linger and respect other guests right for a peaceful night. All... More

Hotel is in a perfect position in the centre of town. There’s a small car park situated at the rear of the hotel, but you would need to get there early as space is limited and parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. We had a superior room which was fine, although there was nothing superior about the view from... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your one night stay at the hotel. We believe our room rates are competitive with other hotels in the area. Lovely lovely hotel, bar gets full of interesting locals, serves Fizzy Friday, 15 quid for a bottle of prosecco, does cocktails, dinner was lush and plentiful, all service is with a smile, nothing seems too much trouble. Room comfy, but when we come back I'll ask to avoid room 15!! My thighs should be able to crack walnuts now!! Phew!

Thank you so much for leaving your review and the two photos. The photo from room 15 is of course, the view from one of our rear facing rooms. Unfortunately, being an old listed building it’s not practicable to install a lift. However, we do have some really nice rooms on the first floor, which of course can be requested... More

First class in every respect. A warm welcome from all staff. Excellent restaurant and super bar snacks. A good selection of reasonably priced beers and ciders. If all the other rooms are as nice as number 5 then there can be no adverse comments. All in all a very pleasant stay.

This is a nice hotel in the centrer of Ross on Wye. We stayed in a comfortable family room although it was just two adults staying. The family room is actually two rooms, consisting an adult double bed room and second room with two single beds and a two seat sofa. The English breakfast was very good and so was... More

Stayed sadly for only one night. We received a warm welcome and was offered help with our luggage up stairs. The room was comfortable and was supplied with all we needed. The bathroom was large and had the most wonderful powerful shower. Breakfast was exceptional, the best we have had. A big thank you to all the staff who made... More

I found the staff to be welcoming and efficient without being at all stuff or business-like. Just what I like! The room could not be faulted. The food was excellent - using fresh local produce. An exemplary experience.

My partner and I stumbled upon the hotel Last Sunday (12th) after visiting Ross for the day! We thought we would try our luck for lunch and we were promptly accommodated! We enjoyed a fantastic lunch! Whilst waiting for our meals we were served a selection of lovely doorstop bread, my only moan would be that the bread was not... More
