This was not our first stay at this hotel (been a number of times before, and will continue going back), but it was our first time since the refurbishment. Wow. As always, when we arrived we were welcomed by a very friendly, helpful member of staff. We were staying in room 10. Exquisitely decorated, tasteful large room with a superb... More

Stayed here for a Xmas party in December. Very enjoyable, clean and good service. Staff v friendly. Returned home and realised I'd forgot my phone charger. The staff were more than happy to send it out in the post. Will return if in Ross again

Brilliant hotel and very dog friendly. When you own a dog its very hard to find a hotel or B&B that will welcome dogs with open arms. This one did. Just because you bring your dog, please dont think you will be placed in a sub standard room, this is not the case, the room was lovely and you would... More

Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely views from our window, good food (especially the creme brulee!) and a quirky staircase....what more do you need? Would definitely stay here again.

Just as we had hoped for. Our family room felt very luxurious and came with the unknown joy that it was in fact two interconnecting rooms with a fabulously refurbished bathroom. The children particularly enjoyed the internal shelf and their own TV! Excellent attention to detail such as a good kettle, fresh water, and funky blue lights in the shower.... More

Had meal in restaurant first nigh - t excellent so we booked in second night - even better! The seafood sharing platter for starter was the best ever! Very good breakfast as well. Visited this hotel today for lunch. First class food and first class service. We have stayed at this hotel in the past too. The hotel is wooden floors and beams, spotlessly clean. The food is excellent, what more can I say. You will not be disappointed.

Having conquered the ludicrous one way system in Ross and parked in the car park (narrow entrance that concentrates the mind) we had a very enjoyable 2 night B & B stay. Rooms well furnished and a super refurbished ensuite shower with blue mood lighting. We ate in their restaurant on the Friday night. A bit expensive but quality was... More

Both my partner and I had a very nice meal here, my girlfriend had the steak pie (just a pie top, a full pie please) and I had the fresh battered fish. The meal itself was lovely and also wine and a decent pint of ale. The service was very good and the staff friendly. 2 meals with chips and... More

Thank you for your review. We are really pleased both you and your partner enjoyed your meals, drinks and service at the King's Head Hotel. Our Steak and Wye Valley ale pie is very popular. It is prepared fresh in our kitchen and cooked to order in a classic oven pie dish with a puff pastry top. The steak is... More

A lovely hotel with rooms being updated, I had one that had just been completed and it was excellent. Modern & clean, comfortable too. The stairs were tricky, especially after we'd been in the bar for one or two! Food was excellent, friendly service, good quality & good portions. Entrance to car park is tight & we found that the... Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your short break at The Kings Head. Many of our rooms have indeed been refurbished over the past few years to a high standard. Being a town centre hotel with a popular bar and restaurant, opening later than 11pm would certainly be financially beneficial... More
