We got a great last-minute deal: £60 for a four-poster bedroom, ensuite, B&B. The food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us welcome. Good selection of ales at the bar. Bathroom clean, well maintained and plenty of water pressure. TV had freeview which was actually tuned in and clear on... More

One arrival it took 15 mins to locate any staff and check in. Rooms we stayed in 6 & 8 in need of update. Room 8 bathroom was very small and suffering with damp patches, rotten skirting boards and much of the shower was mouldy or un sealed see photos . On our first night there was a function with... Thank you for your very constructive comments. We are in the process of updating all rooms within the Inn to a good standard for our guests; unfortunately this takes time, but within our first year, we have made many dramatic improvements to the hotel. We can only apologise that your room is one still awaiting improvements, but after your comments... More

We had our wedding reception here recently and it was truly a remarkable venue. The function room is a perfect size and can easily hold a good 200 people. We only had 130 guests but the room still made it look comfortable but not ghat it looked empty. There is a decent sized Bar in the function room and this... More

Visited here recently for a wedding reception. Very good location and the room was excellent. Canapes on arrival, buffet during the evening. All well prepared and presented. Bar in the function room, unlike some venues. Plenty of staff on hand, unobtrusive attention to clearing tables.

Came here for a little break away and change of scenery with my partner. Also went to Westons cider mill. Found on booking.com it was the best priced room going in the area. However a £42 return to Westons with a local taxi firm was rather expensive, so drove. (Approximately 15 mins each way) We stayed on a Thursday night... More

Really nice hotel. Food really nice and freshly cooked. Steak especially. Best steak I have ever tasted. Staff very friendly too. Ideal overnighting stop for Symonds Yat (East and West), Hereford, Monmouth and Abergavenny. Can certainly recommend this hotel and will be returning to it later this year for a longer stay. Only 6kms out of Ross On Wye, 30kms... More

We stayed on Saturday 7th March 2015. The rooms are looking in need of urgent refurbishment and are not the best even for a 3 star hotel. The route from reception to the room could do with a refurb also. Location is excellent right in the centre of the Forest of Dean. The breakfast is excellent if you like a... More

We stayed here for one night whilst passing through Ross on Wye. The Inn on the Wye itself is a quaint and homely place with loads of charm! It's set out lovely and quite quirky and is in a beautiful setting. The staff were friendly and breakfast was very good with a fairly good selection ie. full cooked breakfast, cereals,... More

We picked this Hotel as we hadn't been to this part of England before, we where a little disappointed regarding where it is situated as the wasn't anything local apart from Goodrich Castle which you could walk to. If you wanted to eat anywhere else you had to drive. The Room was ok did what it said on the label... More
