Enjoyed an evening meal here. The food was absolutley delicious. Highly recommend. Looks as if parts have been renovated, dining area and bar were lovely. Having read the "terrible comments"on here, maybe there is a new chef now,as could not fault the food.

We were quite disappointed with this hotel and have written a review in the hope that the owners may take some notice. The bad. We were apparently upgraded which was quite a surprise given the standard of the room with it's stained carpet, mildewed bathroom, broken window frame, broken door and tired, extremely dusty but large four poster bed. We... More

I had booked a room for a one night break and despite being August it was a cold night so we asked for the heating to be turned on. It took 4 hours. First of all we were told to adjust the thermostat then it transpired that the radiator was turned off and despite using a succession of spanners the... More

As stated the allocated for two adults and a child was a small double with an extra z bed jamed in the result being I slept on the floor as using the z bed would have resulted in no floor space remaining for access and movement

I recently stopped at this hotel with my family, we were a group of 12 adults and 1 child on a canoeing trip along the wye. We were advised by the canoe company that this was one of the two places to stop for lunch. When we arrived, there was a wedding taking place and no food was being served... More

Stayed here on 30th July 2014 with cycling colleague. Arrived at 5pm on hot day. Relaxed in the very comfortable bar area with a few pints from the well stocked bar. Pleasant, helpful staff found a safe place to store our bikes overnight. A good evening meal from the restaurant. Room a little dated but good shower and a good... More

Great pub. Stayed in the area and went here 3 times for food and drinks. Steak night is not to be missed - excellent chef. Also had burgers another night which were immense. They are dog friendly too, inside the pub there is a sofa area which has been done out like a living room with lots of books and... More

A group of us stopped here for lunch and were greeted by what appeared to be an overworked member of staff, dealing with the whole lunch service on her own. This would excuse the abruptness of her attitude but not the argumentative and potty way she dealt with the flow of mistakes with our order. Only 2 of our 8... More
