This was a short break with Olde English Inns , taking advantage of one of their excellent offers. The hotel has probably the best location in Ross, with great views over the river from our huge room.....2 Queen beds although we'd only booked a double. It was typical Olde English décor and facilities all of which were fine. As usual... More

Just had a lovely 3 night break at The Royal. We ate there every night, as well as breakfast and we could not fault the food. Good value for money. Decorating a little tired, but rooms clean, comfortable and warm. (The hotel is closing for a re-furb soon.) The staff were all brilliant - nothing was too much trouble and... More

We upgraded to a superior room on the second floor it had fantastic views over the river on one side and the tower on the other. There was plenty of off street parking. Every staff member was extremely helpful and friendly and would go out of their way to assist. We had dinner there and were very satisfied.

We stayed at the Royal for three nights, greeted by a cheery welcome from reception. We had a lovely weekend, the staff were pleasant and enthusiastic, nothing was to much trouble. I reported a problem with the television to the receptionist, I was hardly back at our room when Mat came to the rescue and sorted things . That's what... More

The Royal was a bit difficult to find in the winding streets of Ross, particularly in the torrential rain that seemed to plague us for the early part of 2014, but we finally fell upon it tucked away at the top end of Ross and managed to squeeze our little mazda into the busy car park and make our way... My partner and I stayed at The Royal Hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed the special Valentine Menus on two evenings. We had three breakfasts and two evening meals. The view was magnificent. The hotel is in the centre and did not need the car to walk through the narrow street and alongside the river. Staff were extremely kind and helpful. The... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in March and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was clean and warm and well-equipped. We had one evening meal here and 2 breakfasts. Food was very good but portions a little on the small side for our healthy... More

Just returned from this hotel having spent 3 nights there, as with all the Old English Inns great value, welcoming, friendly staff and a great place to stay, as it is in the town no need for the car. We ate there all 3 nights, plenty of choice and the fish and chips could be eaten every night , prices... More

We returned to our favourite town and hotel for a weekend "chill out" and that is what we had again. We know the hotel needs a refurb and that starts in April so for the price we paid it was great value. We were warmly welcomed by Brian at reception and off we went to our room ( 21 ).... More
