A lovely homely hotel very close to Ross on Wye. The staff were welcoming in every respect and the facilities provided were superb. We were lucky enough to have Bedroom number One, that had a magnificent bed, and lovely views from the floor to ceiling windows. We ate here on both evenings of our stay, and the restaurant was excellent,... More

A rare find in these days of formulaic ( impersonal), "Country House Spa" hotels. An extremely well run hotel, yet, the overall feeling was that we had spent two days in a private country house. The ambience of the place was all about comfort and relaxation, with " chilled out" guests, relaxing in huge sofas placed around cosily lit fireplaces.... More

This was our first trip away with Alfie, the springer, and it was a resounding success due to the staff at Glewstone. Alfie is slightly nervous and everyone went out of their way to accomodate him, including finding us a seperate room to eat dinner in. The food was excellent and the room was comfie . What makes this hotel... More

This place is full of character like its hosts. It is in a beautiful part of the UK and ideally located for exploring. The food is top notch and could not be better . Would highly recommend staying here.

This is a lovely manor house in a gorgeous part of the world, surrounded by cherry and apple orchards, so it's hard not to fall in love with the place and the views. The house itself, though, is more shabby than chic. If you like minimalist or stylish, look elsewhere. This was rather like staying with a favourite aunt, complete... More

Thankyou for sending in this review;this is a gorgeous part of the world and we are glad that you felt comfortable and that the memory of our Hereford aged steak is still with your companion. We have been described many times - but never as an aged aunt- a first! Thankyou again More

From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave this is "home from home." As hosts, the owners Bill & Chris & are fantastic, as are all the wonderful staff. Very attentive and always use your christian names from the first meeting. Bill is the main host with Chris in the kitchen serving up delicious food. She even... More

I'll be coming back. My husband and I stayed here two nights recently and I can't recommend this place enough for couples. Our room was lovely, the bed comfortable, a couple of different types of pillows for our selection and a wonderful view out the window. We were only planning on eating one night in the hotel but ate there... More

I am so glad that you both enjoyed your stay here- especially relaxing in front of the fire. I am glad to say that today the weather has been superb- hence no log fire tonight for probably the first time in ages. I would point out that we do welcome lots of children here-cots, highchairs, special menus, baby listening etc... More

Made to feel that we were welcome as we stumbled out of the rain through the front door after risking life and limb crossing the A40 .........not used to moving into fast lane with a boy racer behind me and then braking suddenly to turn across the carriageway. ( townie! ) We were joining old friends for a 50th birthday... More

We are so glad that you all enjoyed your family party; apologies for the boy racers on the A40! Our dogs as previously mentioned, love being `mine hosts` and lap up the attention if given, by our visitors..........but are quite clever in keeping their distance from any non- loving pet guests. Many thanks More

Glewstone Court is difficult to find but once you do you will be very glad you made the effort. We arrived on a very cold and foggy day in Feb. nd as soon as we opened the front door we were at home. A very warm welcome followed by a satisfying lunch in front of a blazing log fire soon... More

We are so glad you wandered upon us in your travels; we are only a mile or so from the A40 but down a country lane so not obvious to all. The weather this year has been shocking so far as we all know so it has been our mission to make sure all our guests are kept warm and... More
