Just spent a couple of days in the Forest of Dean and stayed at Lea House. Wonderful accommodation and first class breakfast. Can thoroughly recommend to anyone, singles, families etc. The location is perfect for visiting the Forest and the Wye Valley. This time of year has to be the perfect time - the trees are in glorious colour -... more

We were made very welcome and throughout our stay we felt relaxed and at home. Our room was comfortable and well equipped. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and any reasonable request or requirement was provided for. There was plenty of information about the local area ,both in leaflet form and from Caroline. We would happily stay at Lea House again... more

If you have read the other reviews, you will know that Caroline runs a truly great guesthouse but I want to comment on the food. I am vegetarian and have always been a wholefood, real food prepared from scratch enthusiast and at Lea House you get it all. Home made bread, freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruit platter with decent yoghurt... more

My daughter and I stay at this B & B this August on a wonderful trip to Scotland and England. I needed help being picked up at the train station as I did not have a car and the Hostess set up everything, including confirming times and transportation for my next day trip to the Birds of Prey Institute in... more

Caroline runs this immaculate bed and breakfast with a perfectionist's attention to detail, taste, enthusisam, and cheerful hospitality. Located right on the main road in Lea, the rooms are sheltered from road noise by being behind the main building. Our room (the Hayloft) was spacious, nicley decorated with character, very comfortable and immaculately clean. We had dinner on the night... more

Our room was delightful, our hostess clearly being fastidious about cleanliness. We felt as if we must be the first people ever to have set foot in the en suite. The house is pretty, with a delightful garden. It is not secluded, but it is next to a useful pub/diner, where we soaked up the atmosphere one evening. Breakfast was... more

My room, The Granary, was large and comfortable, unlike some 'boxes I have stayed in. Milk to go with the tea etc. provided in a thermos to keep it fresh. An inveterate tea drinker I felt this little touch was outstanding. An unusual start to breakfast was a beautifully laid out plate of fruit. It seemed that Caroline would take... more
