Anyone who loves the countryside, peaceful surroundings, warm and welcoming hosts and top quality home-made breakfasts should stay at the Beera Farmhouse. The bedroom and other facilities were spotless, comfortable, tastefully decorated, well equipped with tea, coffee, chocolate, water, toffee and biscuits in the bedrooms. I'd go back any day when I'm in Devon. Thanks Hilary!

I would award it 6 stars, if possible. The peace, silence and sheer beauty of this place make it an altogether ideal destination for a quiet holiday in the countryside. The enclosure is set against a backdrop of picture-perfect English fields and the family who run the farm are absolutely charming and easy-going. Can't think of anything at all I'd... More

We stayed with Hilary & Robert for 3 days along with my niece and her husband. This was a wonderful stay in the beautiful Devon countryside. The house was spotless. We opted to have Hilary cook dinner for us on our 2nd day there. It was absolutely delicious. Both Hilary, Robert and their children were so pleasant to be around.... More

In my opinion nothing less than perfect - Hilary's warm welcome and delicious scones, the extensive documentation of local places to visit and attractions, the spacious and comfortable accommodation itself with a glorious view over the farmland, the delicious home cooked breakfast, the conveniently located nearby pub, the tranquility.

Me and my mum stayed at Beera Farmhouse in July last year and had a wonderfully relaxing time. We were in Room 2 which had stunning views across the landscape and was spotlessly clean. Hilary and Robert were very welcoming and provided us with the most delicious breakfast each morning and we also opted to have a couple of evening... More

We have just returned home from a four night stay at Beera Farmhouse near Tavistock. We had a lovely comfortable super king size bed in a good sized room (no.2) with beautiful views over the countryside. The ensuite shower room was equipped with everything you might need and two toweling robes were provided in the bedroom. A very warm welcome... More

Hilary Tucker is a most welcoming and cheery hostess, and sets out a fabulous breakfast. Then, the setting, looking southwest across the Tamar Valley to Cornwall, is stunning, Then, the farmstead, with Robert willing to show us the newborn lambs, made this a very memorable weekend stay. Explore the nearby towns and pubs, but make sure you lay down to... More

This is my third review of Beera Farm and, honestly, I don't know how I can find different words of praise from the ones I have already used in my previous two reviews, which I hope that you will read. We now have a routine to follow when we visit the Tuckers. We drive to the nearby towns of Tavistock,... More

We have just returned after a fabulous 4 night stay at Beera Farm. Hilary & Robert are both very friendly and make you feel really welcome. The cream tea we had on arrival was a lovely touch and much appreciated after a long drive down. We had the delightful four poster room at the front of the farmhouse and the... More

Every good thing that has been said about this lovely farmhouse is true - and then some! Hilary and Robert are lovely, hard working people who make you feel really welcome. Views of the fields and hills from the house are striking and the rooms are spacious and clean, including the visitors lounge.. The local pub, just down the road... More
