Wife & I concluded an extended break in Devon with a 2 night stay at the Coachouse Hotel. We were welcomed by Debbie & Wayne & shown around this cosy & comfortable pub/restaurant. Our good impression was enhanced after being taken to Room 1 which was of good size & equally cosy. The ensuite shower area was excellent with plenty... More

This family run hotel make you feel like you're an extended family member! Everyone is happy to help and stay and chat. The food is excellent with everything home made by Dean the chef including the breakfast jams & marmalade ( can't wait for the strawberry jam to be ready to buy to take home - it's the best I've... Really lovely little B&B, great service. Located on a quiet country road with a small car park opposite. Copper Penny pub at top of road (although you'd need to drive probably). B&B has own bar and restaurant inside which seemed friendly and popular. Really good, friendly service and cute little restaurant down stairs. Most rooms have been refurbished - although... More

Went with friends for the steak night which was outstanding. £18 for two meals and a glass of wine each. Told other friends, they then tried the carvery on Sunday which they too said was amazing. So we shall be doing that in the near future. A lovely couple who have only taken over recently but they are working really... More

Stayed for two nights, on an online deal , at this gem of a find. Not one of your soulless everything matching conglomerates but a sweet old fashioned hotel with good food, delightful proprietors and a nothing too much trouble attitude. A great starting point for exploring the Dartmoor National Park. Give it a go I don't think you will... More

This is a small but lovely little Hotel, tucked away in the depths of the Countryside in Ottery, near Tavistock. . NOT to be confused with the 'other' Ottery, near Exeter. The present owners have not been there very long and have embarked on a very optimistic refurbishment of the place. The bedrooms are being re-decorated and, where necessary, re-designed.... More

We stayed for 2 nights arriving on our wedding anniversary and we mentioned it as we left the restaurant during the evening after an excellent meal which led to "Why did you not tell us?" In the morning our breakfast table was scattered with rose petals and a bottle of Bucks Fizz!! Lovely touch... Nothing was too much trouble. Debbie... More

We stayed for 2 nights in March on a KGB deal . Our room was lovely with plenty of tea and coffee equipment. We were made very welcome. The food was excellent and the breakfasts lovely. As there were only 3 people staying we had no problems with delays in the restaurant or noisy people in the bar so we had a... More

We stayed for one night, the food was excellent and could not fault it at all, friendly staff. The problem is this hotel is in need of updating the rooms are not nice, small old beds, really nasty bathrooms, all covered with plastic, all done cheaply as a cover up, nothing matches the exterior of the coach house, rather some... We spent two nights at this hotel, Debbie and Wayne were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We slept so well because it was so quiet. I cant say enough good things about the food, breakfasts were wholesome and freshly cooked. The evening meal was delicious, I had steak, it was tasty, cooked just how I wanted. My... More
