From the moment we drove up to the house we knew we had made a good choice. The view over Dartmoor is lovely and the house is absolutely beautiful. Tori welcomed us with afternoon tea in the drawing room including homemade cakes (no extra charge!) before showing us to our room which was quite grand and full of lovely touches... More

Seattle couple looking for a relaxing stay to adjust to time zone change. Easy communication with Victoria and a simple deposit on PayPal secured our reservation for the most fantastic stay in a beautiful setting right out of a travel coffee table picture book. Meet by the beautiful daughter who recommended the excellent Elephant pub, great food however we had... More

Difficult to praise in priority order:our hosts Victoria & Tim, the quality of breakfast and dinner, the ambiance of the farmhouse or the high standards of all the amenities. Without any shadow of doubt my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the complete package and would strongly recommend Burnville Farm to anyone. In our half century experience of UK hotels and guest... More

My boyfriend and I spent the August bank holiday here and it was just wonderful. Victoria was very responsive before we arrived, coming back to us very promptly via email with any queries we had. Our room was absolutely beautiful and the bed was ginormous. Everything from the pillows to the towels was the ultimate in luxury and we felt... More

The house is historic but perfectly restored and updated where needed. Victoria and Tim are wonderful hosts for our stay. There is always a warm fire burning when you come back to the house from a hike. The room was large just as the bath room. A special experience was Victorias dinner. Quality and variety is equal to a very... More

We are frequent flyers at Burnville farm and cannot praise the relaxed yet very stylish atmosphere. The hosts just get it right all the time. The rooms are better every time..although there must come a time when improvements will be hard to make. FANTASTIC!

We stayed in the gorgeous Victorian detached house called Guinea for the week with our boys (15 and 11) my parents a my sister. The location is fantastic, brilliant views, gorgeous setting and easy to get every where, Tavistock only a 10 minute drive away with everything you could need. Tim and Victoria are brilliant hosts. Chocolate brownie and tea... More

This was an exceptional experience. The rooms were beautifully decorated and furnished. The goose down pillows resulted in the best sleep for ages. The bathroom was very large, and well stocked with White Stuff toiletries. The breakfast was a delight. The fruit was so beautifully presented I wondered whether it was to be eaten. The full English that followed was a delight... More

This Farm B&B is actually a quite lovely country house in a stunning rural location; Run by the owner hosts Victoria & Tim who have a complete grasp on managing a five star B&B business whilst also running a demanding farm. Immediately being made to feel at home on arrival is hard to achieve but Victoria possesses this rare skill... More

After trawling through web pages and engaging in infinite email threads with farms around the country, we had the good fortune of choosing to spend last weekend at Burnville Farm. The accommodation far surpassed any thing I have encountered in a bed & breakfast style home. Where one naturally looks to find gaps in an experience, one instead finds the... More
