If you want a classic English country retreat then you will love this place. It's remote but there are lots of pubs a quick 5-10 minute drive away so lots of choice. Tori and Tim are wonderful hosts and the breakfast is seriously good; wish we had booked in for dinner! The rooms are really generous with lots of little... More

This is an exceptional place to stay and I really can't recommend it highly enough. We were made to feel very welcome in this warm and comfortable house. From huge beds to delicious tea and outstanding breakfast, it is excellent value for money. Outrageously good brownies!

We stayed at Burnville Farm 5 years ago and enjoyed it so thoroughly that we knew if we ever came back to Britain we would stay again. Fast forward 5 years and we have had another wonderful 2 nights. After travelling in Italy, France and England, this was almost the last place we stayed on our month long trip. Travelling... More

My husband and I stayed for four nights in the Waverley room and used Burnville Farm as a base for our Devon and Cornwall outings. We had a hire car and the GPS directed us to the Farm without any issues. I was overjoyed with my choice as it was a special stay for my English husband's 60th birthday. The... More

We stayed for 1 night and loved it. On arrival we were served tea in the Drawing Room by Henry and asked where we would like to eat. Our preference for good quality pub food was met with a reservation at the Elephants Nest – a good choice. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding; fresh... Wonderful in every respect. We loved our huge room and bathroom with its long bath tub, candles and bath products. The vast bed was the embodiment of luxury and the view was to die for, the breakfast even more so. Fantastic choice, superbly presented and cooked. The hosts were charming and very helpful when it came to advice about walks... More

We have stayed in many b&b's and it would be hard to remember anywhere better. If you like peace, comfort, quality in a classic and traditional setting then Burnville is well worth a visit. Attentive but relaxed hosts and a breakfast second to none. Will be booking our next break soon!

Superb room, excellent Breakfast with more than usual full English choice. Freshly cooked kedgeree superb. Log fire in the dining room on a chilly spring morning. Have traveled from Shetland to Sicily in the last few years for work and have not come across anything that compared to it.

We stayed at Burnville Farm for two nights mid-week in late February, this being our third stay here. As always everything was perfect from the warm welcome by Tori and Tim, the very clean and comfortable bedroom and bathroom and the delicious breakfasts. We also ate dinner here one night and Tori produced delicious food and plenty of it! This... More
