A wonderful, relaxing time in the Porter's Office. We could not fault this superb accommodation. Beautiful decor and every need catered for. Will definitely be visiting again. Location perfect for exploring Dartmoor and coastal resorts.

We recently stayed in the Porter's Lodge for a long weekend. Yet again we had a fabulous time, the cottage is lovely and Jenny very kindly agreed to put two stair gates in for our little one. There's nothing to fault - the cottage itself is very comfortable, there's the little touches like milk, orange juice, hand wash etc and... More

We had a lovely stay in the Ticketing Hall. Colin met us and showed us around and the history is very interesting. The building has been thoughtfully restored, with lots of original features eg the sales hatches, awning and platform. It was very comfortable with everything we needed (DVD player, dressing gowns, and a freshly baked cake in the fridge!).... More

The personal welcome to a warm cottage plus cake was super. An excellent base for exploring Tavistock and the surrounding area. Easy access to the town centre and home from home comfort in the cottage. Hope to return soon.

We treated ourselves to a last minute, 2 night stay at the end of January. The Cottage (Old booking office) is really well presented, and provided us with a cosy, warm base during what became quite a frosty weekend. Nice little touches such as the very tasty cake on arrival, dressing gowns and slippers, Colin's introduction to the station's history,... More

We are really sorry you missed Match of The Day and also sorry if you were not shown how to use the TV controls. As we always tell our guests we are on site and if any problems please come and see us. We don't think the majority of our guests would like us to eliminate Sky but we have... More

Me and my wife stayed in the Old Tavistock Railway Station Cottages back in the beginning of December, and from arriving to leaving had the most lovely break away . The cottage was so warm inviting as we entered ,who would not want to stay there . Superbly renovated to such a high standard , along with beautiful fittings and... More

Very convenient location, easy walk to town but peaceful. Very well appointed, clean and tidy. Everything provided and nice welcome from the owners. Cake, milk tea etc provided on arrival which was appreciated. Certainly hope to return. Tavistock a lovely town, especially the pannier market and selection of individual shops. Also good location to see Dartmoor and South Devon coast... More

What a beautiful tasteful renovation, Jenny and Colin have certainly pulled out all the stops. We even had a scrummy cake waiting on the table for our arrival, as well as milk in the fridge and plenty of other little extras. Our weekend at The Porters Office was so relaxing, it is so lovely and quiet there but only a... More

This was our second stay at the Tavistock Railway Station cottages but this time we were in the Ticketing Hall. The downstairs area is impressive: there's lots of space with a comfortable lounge and a lovely large kitchen which opens on to the platform. The bedrooms upstairs are fine although largely unremarkable apart from the roof beams which you will... More

Thank you for your comments about the station and obviously pleased you enjoyed your stay with us again. I'm sorry you didn't come and see us about the stair gate as I do keep a small stock of them and could have easily fitted another one for you. I'm not sure I could have helped with the highchair as I... More

Just beautiful! The owners haven't missed a thing. Two wet rooms, well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed and beautiful leather furniture to relax in. The ticketing office will sleep 4 and am sure that 4 adults would be comfortably accommodated. The wood panelled screen where people would have bought there train tickets in times gone by was a delight. Cannot fault... More
