After staying here I vowed never to return! I do not like to be camping so close to my neighbours that our tent pegs are virtually touching! I can honestly say that I have never stayed at such a busy and noisy campsite! The toilets were disgusting - no hand soap. The owner was annoying and intrusive - coming over... More

Having read the reviews I was worried about our trip to wowo, but having just come back I can honestly say I enjoyed every minute. This site has a really laid back feel, and wonderful woods for the kids to play in...all within ear shot. While we were there some musicians played in the communal tipi and everyone joined in,... Have just spent 3 nights at camp wowo as we wanted somewhere relaxed and where campfires were allowed. It was very busy and I felt we were all very close together despite there being a large virtually empty field at the far end which we were told was reserved for large parties. We were a party of 8. There were... More

Just back from a weekend at wowo. Am I recalling the sunshine? The open fire? The thoughtful items that accompanied the gypsy caravan (large covered eating area, washing up bowl + sponge, water, gas, kettle, etc)? The plentiful hot water for washing up? The many tree swings? The stream? The free soup? Watching England lose to Italy? Nope. I'm thinking... More

We had heard about Wowo and instead of going to our usual cheaper campsite where we can have campfires, walk in wooded glades, walk down to the sea through forest, have showers and use a relatively clean loo from a large enough sanitary block, walk along maintained in an ecologically sound way, campsite paths so they are not swimming with... The most soulless campsite I have ever been to. Washing and Toilet facilities should be condemned, even a trickle of hot water would be nice, but no. The 'Shop', if you can call it that is poorly stocked. Charges for cars (you could bring your 6 man tent on a bus perhaps?). Poor, dirty, unhygienic, and unkempt facilities in general.... More

Just returned today from a three night stay at Wowo for 'back to basics' camping. It's a really family-friendly campsite with lots of space for the kids to roam around and explore the rope swings and nearby brook. We thought the absence of caravans was especially nice and gave the site a much quieter, more rustic feel than you usually... More

Really enjoyed Wowo. I've read the facilities aren't up to everyone's high standard and can agree they could be better, camping is about escaping all lifes distractions + mod-cons a back to basics aproach should be encouraged. The vibe was excellent, people saying good morning, loads of kids mingling, no loud music, mix of gentrified hippies and middle age Audi... More

Just arrived back from a weekend with friends at WoWo, the campsite location/setting is excellent with plenty of room and open camp fires but that's where it ends. Looking back at other people's reviews and the lack of any response from the campsite management make me feel that whatever I write won't matter one hoot however it will hopefully give... More

My husband and I went on a last minute trip here on Easter Sunday, it was heavy rain but looking on line we saw the undercover areas so decided to go for it. We camped in the field with "the village" it was pretty quiet and we lit the communal undercover firepit, some people joined us, I'd imagine a Saturday... More
