A party of us shared a yurt, the shepherds hut and a pitched tent. We cooked at a fire a the yurt site. On arrival, friendly reception. Told the basics rules, where to get stuff etc. The chill out barn was "shabby bohemian " the ping pong table adequate if they would replace the bare wooden bats and squashed ball!... More

I have been to many campsites since 2007 and now I am 9.But this is the best ever with extra joy! Great location and only about an hour and a half away. The staff are very comforting and friendly to kids so they straight away gave me hope. My family have always gone to places that you can have camp... More

We have just arrived back home after a wonderful weekend at Wapsbourne 'Wowo' Manor. It's a fabulous campsite and was our first experience camping as a family. Our children are 4 and 6. We actually chose to glamp it up a little in one of the yurts (The Hobbit Yurt) on site and we were not disappointed. We arrived to... More

We stayed at Wowo on 13th & 14th of September. First impressions looks good, nice area, etc. However we will not be going back. The cleanliness of the facilities was really poor. The porta loos in our field were disgusting and could have done with emptying, so couldn't/wouldn't use them, the eco toilets just as bad, during my stay I... More

We visited this campsite 28th and 29th of August in the the school holidays so I had misgivings about it being packed, but found that although it was fully booked it didn't ever feel crowded, lots of space and pitches not too close to each other, the opportunity to have a campfire was great. The site is set in stunning... More

This was a very nice site in terms of its natural environment. However I wouldn't go back as the staff could not be bothered to clean their toilets/showering facilities. There were hundreds of people staying at Wowo this weekend and the facilities should have been cleaned at least twice a day to maintain hygiene standards.

We stayed at WoWo this weekend for two nights in a group of 5 tents (10 adults, 7 children and two dogs). Absolutely loved it for the wildness of it all. Kids ran wild and played in the woods swinging on the (many) rope swings, climbing up and down dusty banks and tree roots and generally getting filthy dirty. Fantastic... More

Visited WoWo for a 2 night stay in July (fri & sat nights) with husband and two daughters (6 & 9 years). It's in such a beautiful part of the country (next to the bluebell railway) and the site itself very pretty. The site was quite busy, but we found a nice spot near a fire pit with plenty of... More

Stayed the first (glorious) weekend in July. The campsite was very busy, however we managed to find a spot away from the groups (in some cases very large groups), and settled in. We had a wonderful time - the kids did lots of exploring in the woods, the large rope swings went down a treat, and the fact that the... More

I had made the mistake of booking before reading up on trip advisor, so was a bit concerned by some of the less positive reviews here, given i'm a bit of a newbie to camping. Happy to report the Wowo campsite was great! We went on a wednesday evening, and there were only a few others scattered around the site... More
