We stayed for one night and found the hotel to be clean and tidy with a lovely reataurant. The evening meal was excellent and the buffet breakfast was also good. The rooms were clean and tidy and it looked like the carpets were all quite new so earlier reviews might now be out of date. A good hoel with friendly... more

Myself and my partner were visiting family nearby. The only reason we chose this hotel was it was the only one with available rooms at the last minute - now we know why! The minute we got there, we had a lady running out to my sister-in-law at the front door telling her she couldn't park there when she was... more

Despite having had email and phone contact with the hotel before arriving we were not on the computer so instead of having a room with a garden view we were facing the car park. Our room had a broken shower due to leaks which had rotted the floor in the wardrobe leaving a large hole, also the bed matteress was... more

I booked this hotel stay for myself and my husband and having read the reviews on here I was a bit wary but it looked so wonderful. Well ... I wasn't disappointed. The building is beautiful and having talked to the owners much has been done to address the problems talked of on this site. The food was fabulous, the... more

I booked this hotel for my husbands birthday and upgraded our room to one with a balcony. The hotel looks lovely from the outside but it's a very different story inside. The check in staff are very friendly but even on the way to our room I noticed that the hall carpet was taped together. The room was horrible -... more

This hotel is rather tired and old and does need some modernisation. However, it is very clean and servered our purpose of a place to put our heads after a party in the excellent golf club. The hotel is old fashioned and modernisation would cause it to lose its charm, although a brightening up of the bedrooms with a more... more

I stayed here with a group of friends in order to play Golf the next day at their 9 hole course. The hotel building itself is a lovely Tudor building with lovely rear views of the Oxfordshire countryside and the hotels lakes. The Hotel used to be a rock star's house and has a guitar shaped swimming pool, sadly this... more

The hotel is sited in beautiful grounds. From the outside it looks lovely but the picture inside is rather one of faded splendour. The bedroom was small and in need of updating. Stains and scars on the ceiling and marks on the bedspread and walls did not impress. The bed, floorboards and bathroom door all squeaked, making for noisy visits... more

Stayed at the Hotel as part of a company weekend away. When we got there it looked really nice with pleasant surroundings. Glof course looked great. The food we had in the evening was a really nice. The staff are all polite and seem to be from eastern europe. But the only downer on the whole thing was the bed... more
