Grand building with character but a little worn now, rooms clean enough but a little jaded. Noise from the factory opposite was minimal. Ideal location for the Warrington Bank quay station. Staff very attentive and breakfast was okay. For 48 pound a night it's value for money,

I travel between Warrington and London and frequently pop into the Patten Arms for breakfast. I've been coming here for years but I've never actually spent an evening at the hotel. Last night was my first and I totally loved it: the atmosphere, the charm, and the friendly management team and staff. The Patten Arms is fabulous hotel and I... More

Just had 1 night here, en route to a further location. Easy to find, and park, checked in with no fuss, room was a little on the small side, with bizarrely no plug sockets, informed reception that we weren't happy and got a different, more spacious room right away. Very friendly staff, chatting to us in the bar area, along... More

We recently stayed here for one night, en route to our holiday destination. My trainspotter son actually chose the hotel, as it's directly opposite Warrington Bank Quay station "which is great for freight-spotting", according to him! So, it's super-convenient for travellers and is also just a short walk to the town centre. Outside, the hotel looks quite charming - it... More

we stayed for one night and found the room to be spacious and warm and comfortable. it must have been a top class hotel in its day but is not some what faded and could do with a revamp. breakfast was very good and the staf helpfull, we would stay again as the price is very reasonable.

My sister and I had breakfast here last November while breaking a rail journey from Wales to Scotland. We were so impressed with the quality of the food and service and the very reasonable price that we decided to stay here for two nights when again visiting our relatives in Wales. We were not disappointed as although the furnishings were... More

uncomfortable bed ,not a very nice menu, no wi-fi in the rooms ,if u're studying or working on line you have to stay in the bar ,which is not the ideal if you need concentration. the location is really good though if you're travelling by train . ..

Stayed here the other night and had to ask to change my room. Poor standard for a hotel, the rooms and the Hotel are in dire need of make over. Very tired and windows don't seal properly, making for a cold room. I was tucked under the duvet to keep warm , the heating was insufficient to warm the room.... More

If you appreciate a warm welcome, clean & homely room and peace & quiet then try the Patten Arms. Ideally situated directly opposite one of Warrington's two train stations, the owner and staff of this establishment simply could not do enough to ensure our stay was a comfortable and pleasant one. We stayed over the Christmas period and when the... More
