I booked the Pattern Arms for a surprise 50th Wedding Anniversary party for my parents as they had their wedding reception at the hotel. All the staff I spoke to going from my original enquiry to the night of the party were really friendly and helpful. The buffet they provided was excellent with plenty of choice and plenty of food.... Room 42 is a death trap for families especially in the warm weather. Bars on the floor level window were wide enough for our 3 year old granddaughter to try and climb through 3 floors up. DANGEROUS!!! It was a very hot night the night we stayed and because we needed window open to avoid suffocation we spent night awake... More

Once again, I had to find an overnight stay at short notice and was surprised to get a room. The staff that I dealt with on the telephone were very friendly and efficient. I drove past the entrance to the rather small car park and had to do a u-turn up the road. The building itself is not without some... More

This is a nice hotel on the whole but definitely in need of an update, it's good value for money though, food is very cheap but if I'm honest not the greatest I've eaten, I paid £44 a night for a single occupancy room which was quite spacious (room15) but it was like stepping back in time, yes it's an... Came in here for a drink whilst waiting for a train. Ordered a pint of carlsberg and it smelt rotten. Tasted even worse. Took it back to the bar and the barman refused to accept that anything was wrong with it. Asked for a replacement and offered to pay the difference but he would not accept that. He was rude... More

Thank-you for your comments, despite them all being falsified. You complained about the Carlsberg stating that it "Tasted Of Farts" Not sure how you would know this but each to their own. I tasted the Carlsberg and there was nothing wrong with it. Almost the whole pub was drinking it and not one other person complained. You had drunk half... More

I would not recommend this place for luxury the whole building needs refurbishing including the room I stayed in although it was nice and clean this place is falling apart in various places. The food in the evening was nice and priced very reasonably and breakfast was nice too. It's a shame really the place could do with redecorating in... More

I arrived Thursday lunchtime for my umpteenth stay at the Patten (have been staying here for about 15 years). Once again it was another pleasurable experience - the Patten is always clean and welcoming, via the friendly staff. Jack, Lea. James, Lauren, Roy, Jane and the housekeepers. The hotel is an old hotel with the charm of age - warm... More

Have been to Warrington 3 times now, the first 2 places I stayed at gave me no sleep at all. I found this place and decided to read some reviews. They were very positive. I can see why. This place is the best hotel I have stayed in during my visits to this town, The accommodation is very comfortable and... More

Stayed at this hotel overnight to go to a nearby concert. Would usually stay at much pricer hotels but the hubby booked so was apprehensive. However, I couldn't recommend it enough. The decor is bit dated but it is clean and the staff were excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. Apparently the breakfast is very good but unfortunately we didn't get... More

It is fair to say that this hotel has character and is far removed.from.the chains business visitors.so often use. If you want to pay almost double for an anodyne experience feel free to do so. However, the Patten is quaint and of its vintage. The greeting on arrival was warm and charming, going to great lengths to explain the hotel... More
